You're the kind of fanboy who would rather have the public unaware and won't warn them about the defect. You are trying to cover up the issue but you fail. You are pissed just because there are people here on this forum talking about the defect that fanboys like you keep on dennying. We made a lot of noise on the internet about the issue and we got Nokia to acknowledge the defect. That means the defect is real and now Nokia is taking actions.
Now tell me that there is no defect when the purple screen fiasco is happening worldwide. Don't be in denial and help out the others so that they won't pick up a defective unit. Think about the others and not just your self and set aside your fanboyism.

Your just another Iphoner Telling lies here!! Get over it is way better than your Iphone!!
I've just found a nice option in this device, power saving mode. Very useful for me. The more i think i know this smartphone, the more it surprise me.
See how big the defect in my N8:
I can not enjoy my movies, photos, games & everything.
Tell me, do I have to keep silent?
Buy N8 but choose the non-defect one!!!
Aaron, 16 Mar 2011Why are you using my name? There's 2 Aarons? Wth I thought that was not possible and a name can only be reserved and registered once.

[deleted post]No mate. We are not the same person. Our writing styles are different and the ip don't match.
AnonD-2869, 16 Mar 2011umm....really all those problems? but hey why people keep buying it,if those happens nobody wo... moreGo search Nokia's support forums about those problems and you'll find threads about it. People buy phones unaware of the problems and defects. Had they knew about the purple screen defect then they would have surely picked a perfect unit. Right now there's a lot of confusion going on at Nokia. The replacement handsets they send still have defects.
The overheating motherboard/restarting problems were from the first batch. There are some with proximity sensor problems but the most current and widespread problem is the purple screen.
What you perceive as negative/bashing comments serves as a warning to those thinking about buying an N8. We do not want them to buy a defective unit and save them from frustration and hassle. Fanboys think we are bashing but we are not. If we remained silent about the issue then no progress will be made. Because of our noise, we were able to make Nokia acknowledge the purple screen defect. However, AMOLED screens are in short supply and Nokia is currently short of the defect- free screens. That is why some of us have received replacement phones with the purple defect still.
Fanboys think we are bashing but we are here to serve prospective buyers about the pros and cons of the device and save them from getting a defective unit.

To all N8 users :-
-------UNLEASH THE POWER OF N8-------
The N8 can compete with Androids an iOS and can even beat them. Yes a lot of devices have display problem but it is really unnoticeable except you dim the display to its minimum. People who are having this problem dont have to worry. HTC devices also had the same problem in the past and were fixed via update. So no need to panic. If you want to check your display perform these tests http://geekifysymbian.blogspot.com/2011/02/n8-display-problem-updated.html
TO TEMPORARILY GET RID OF THIS PROBLEM you can use N8 Mods pack 4.0. It contains around 30 mods. The mod 19 (light sensor mod), if installed can help you get rid of the purple tint.
The N8 MODS 4.0 increases the speed and general performance. There is also Camera quality improvement and many others. Installation is easy and does not harm the device. You can choose which mods to install. THESE MODS ARE AVAILABLE FOR FREE AT http://geekifysymbian.blogspot.com/2011/01/n8-mods-v400-updated.html
