Have never had any problems with my phone, the call quality is excellent, the camera is superb and has replaced my old canon G9, the music player is great even through the built in speaker, the radio transmitter makes it brilliant in a car, it really does impress people, used my mates phone a while a ago to make a call and I'd never buy what he has, the call sounded thin and the people sounded like they were very far away. I'm happy with my N8

This is an excellent phone. As for features, it's in the league w/ only three other phones (Galaxy S2, HTC HD2). Of those phones, they all offer one or two tricks the other doesn't. What makes this phone better than those others, however, is that you don't need an expensive pda data plan if you pair it with T-Mobile. As high-end Nokias aren't offered with service plans in the US, you also get a certain cache for not having a unit that everyone else has.

[deleted post]Outside observing the defective purple color, which more or less appear like a theme effect that I even like, the color does not affect in any way the functionality of the phone. So, for you to dissuade the minds of others because of that, is appalling! Moreover, nokia has made mention of rectifying it thru SW update.

I bought this phone and it is great. great everything....browser is fine if you use opera. ....but it keeps restarting (but turns back on within a few seconds), i am sending for a replacement hope that the replacement wont because it probably is the best phone for the price. i enjoy having good os like android webos but i need a phone to do the basics and not turn off half way through the day (htc,palm etc................)

I have been using this device for 8 weeks now. It is perfect. I am wondering what the people are complaining about.
For only 450 US Dollars, you get a great camera and flawless system, with hundreds of useful free applications.

My first one lasted 4 days before I had to take it back for a replacement. Then the replacement one lasted 2 months and it had to go back. with the next one after that going back within 5 days. All these phones were replaced not fixed, so a different phone each time. I am now currently waiting on the phone company to now replace yet my other n8 with a completely different brand. I have had enough. its in the shop more than I have had it for. I have always been a loyal nokia customer never using another brand, but the N8 has definatly changed that. I do wish it had no issues because I do really like the features.

Finally I got my n8 on 8th march.its really rocking.thank god that I got a problem free set.i red many reviews regarding the display problems.camera is not that much impressive when compared with my sony cyber shot tx1.

If this is a good phone why are there so many complaints and angry users?... moreOh yea? do u think that no one has got problem free mobile??? well i dont think so... in fact i have not got any major problem.... I have nokia 5310, nokia 6681 (But lost recently)..My sis has Nokia 6233, Samsung galaxy 3, my dad has Nokia 5800, nokia 1202 my mom has Nokia 1209.. all my family members have nokia phones.... and among all nokia phones no one faced any major problem.... my sis still likes 6233... there is no major problem... though there are minor problems such as lagging, hanging etc but i did not come across any major problems... and there are no mobile in the world which are problem free...Even the costliest iphone has got much problems... Even i do admit that n8 has got some problems but surely nokia will fix it and remember there are not so many people in the world who have defective n8... if all had got defective n8, n8 wouldn't have stayed #1 in daily interest for almost 1 year!!!! my dad is going to buy n8 in couple of month... and i hope it comes with problem free and with PR 3.0 update.... I am waiting for n8.....
