ai, 06 Mar 2011hi!1 we r interested in buying..pls suggest... email@example.com grate phone i m in love with it. i have used i phone ,android but for me symbian 3 is gretest os. only becoz symbian is not doing that much add. that dosent mean its not good. its baby now and its groing like anything
I am disapointed Nokia N8. I bought a new one Nokia N8 (made in Finland ) and enjoyed only 3 days this mobile. After charging orginal charger atached to whole set, my Nokia didn't start again. Charger is ok, but my Nokia is not charged any more. I see only on the begining flashing LED located close to USB socket and that's all.
I am very disapointed Nokia and regret that I didn't buy another brand.
They are not killing symbian next year. They'll support it. They are just using Windows phone in high end phones, Symbian in mid and high end phones and S40 in mid and low end phones. And its totally right that killing Symbian will not kill our Symbian based phones.
really nokia N8 is an awesome mobile with great feature and that's why i like nokia N8 so much

You want to cover up the purple screen problem? Let rcda post his experience about his screen defect. It serves as a warning so that potential buyers will be aware of the purple defect. I would rather have the public aware of the purple screen defect of some N8s so that they will pick a unit without the purple screen.
rdca, 05 Mar 2011 Im not bashing N8, Im react for what ive seen on my n8 display its reddish purple,... moreI'd say poor you because this isn't a Nokia official page this is or Nokia fans. So,any complaints won't be read by Nokia officials, don't you know where to write? there's a Nokia official blog to write their blogs, not only for RCDA but or other noobs too, this isn't a place for your complaints cos it won't be read nor reported. you all should go write there(nokia support blog). Really I am soooo fed up off seeing N8 noobs around on this fan page.
Guys PR 2 is coming month end...so be rdy for 50 new improvements....

i would only put on vivid mode if its necessary
just to be clear, at geekify:
1. Remove all mods (v2.00, v2.20, HyperX etc.) Download the mods
2. Sign the . sis with your own cert.
3. Run the signed . sis.
4. Select the mods that you like to install.
5. REBOOT the phone.

I finally bougth Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9003 after long consideration between Nokia N8.
bullzeye, 05 Mar 2011ah haven't removed the protective covering yet
looks like that will have to go :(don't worry, the glass piece covering the lens is resistant to scratches. Anyways it is not the real lens. The actual lens is beneath that glass so you can safely remove the plastic lens protector
For vivid mode, it produces over saturated colors which are far from natural. Although it looks pleasant to the eyes but also leads to loss of fine detail due to high contrast
