Anonymous, 09 Feb 2011my country hasn't received over the air updates. is there any other way to download them?????Don't update on the air, do it on ovi suite it's safer; if you like challenges, google for tools to change your RM number or install a CFW (check the RM number first). Cheers.

wow, read this...
I am using Nokia Battery Monitor software downloaded from OVI sore, and when my battery is full(100%) it is displaying the details like below..
Active Use : 1Day 7h
Talk : 4h 20min
Web browsing : 6h 20Min
Music playback : 20h
Is it OK for all the Nokia N8 user? or my battery has any issue?
[deleted post]If you had an N8, you'd also be so proud of this amazing device. So you don't need to ridicule him. We all felt happy when we first got our N8's. And we all felt a little bit disappointed when some problems started to show up. Gradient problem is common among AMOLED displays. But it doesn't mean we've got defective units. And this is supposed to be an English forum.
I'm interested to see how nokia fanboys will spin this memo from Elop. I think Nokia needs to adopt a new OS. It's in the best interest for the company. Let's face it, Nokia makes AMAZING hardware. They just have horrible software developers. Take the plunge Nokia, the world is waiting to buy a device that combines high quality hardware with a powerful operation system. I own an Iphone 4. Love it, but if Nokia does what's right, my dusty n95 8gb could have a brand new grandson to talk about the good ol times with.

tictactaylor, 08 Feb 2011I have to say I am a little unhappy with a second n8 purchased. It died a sudden death after r... morei experienced the same things
it dies when i dod software uodate on my phone, and refused to power on wighin 20 mins
is it because i idid a harset reset on my phone before using *#7370#
I have to say I am a little unhappy with a second n8 purchased. It died a sudden death after registering email details on home screen app. After it went to ovi it shut down and refused to start for 20 mins. Even when it did come back to life it shut down again. Did factory reset and you lose your maps on the internal drive! Not sure what batch this was from but a major UK retailer. Has anyone else experienced such, I returned mine to get money back, shame as love this phones design. Nokia do need to fully make sure that any phone you cannot do a hard reset is 100% stable. Is their a consumer accessable reset for this phone cannot see one but thought I would enquire.
