Im Proud To Be owner of Nokia N... more "aluminum anodize display"
no wonder the freaking thing is so unresponsive lol! Can you even see through that display???
Has anybody found a music player app that can do crossfade playback for n8? Or it has it by default? How?
680 is more than enough for a superior OS like Symbian. Others may need 1GHz and dual cores. But remember, more clocks per second means more energy consumption and thus low battery life.
symbian a truly basic mobile os
meego, a truly mobile compter os
i dont care about the app store, full flash support is the funnist thing in the web browser, watch tv dramma series online , download them into my meemory
if nokia goes for android or wm7, they loss me as a customer

Anonymous, 28 Jan 2011guys when u will understand symbian os is very light os it does'nt need 1ghz processor but 512... moreNokia has a back up charger that stores enough on a single charge to recharge your n8 3 and a half times. its only about the size of the n8 itself. Plus it can charge two devices simultaneously. One viz usb on the other with the traditional nokia pin. Phones arent designed to have their batteries taken out every few hours. it loosens the back cover and wears the battery itself. Do the rational thing. I only ever opened the back cover of my 5800 once after i got it and that was when it fell in water.
n8 or galaxy s.which will better for watching dvd movie.playing hd games. hearing song and internet. pls help me
guys when u will understand symbian os is very light os it does'nt need 1ghz processor but 512 mb ram would make this handset a rhino handset haha..but i think so nokia have done a small or i will say big mistake of not giving user battery replacement..bcoz suppose imagine travelling far away and you need to put a replacement battery because there is no place for charging only to find that the nearest Nokia service center is about 3000 miles away????? otherwise this handset is amazing
Supratim, 28 Jan 2011Still 680 MHz, what a joke by Nokia!yeah still 680mhz after 3 months on the market and over a year after conception? Why doesn't nokia made a hardware that automatically updates it's processor depending on what's latest? Some are already releasing dual cores and the n8, after being in the market for months, is still using 680mhz-clocked arm11, Wut? Lol
(sarcasm)
But even though, the best of nokia n8s produced, not those defective ones, are all running smooth. As my fellow filipino said. ;-)
That's enough to keep me believing in whatever nokia is up on it's sleeve during this year's MWC. Though i'm more likely to shift brand if n9 becomes too late.

680 is enough for perfectly optimized OS.
Looks like a good phone with heaps to offer. Only downside is the processor, anything under 800mhz these days is seen as low. Most smart phones boast 1ghz processor.
