DO NOT perform a HARD REST - It removes protected files from handset and requires a reflash by Nokia to put them back on - This ONLY affects the OVI Store App.
Handset hardware is AWESOME!!! Highly recommended handset!

for smooth performance use only class 4 or above memory card. Please check the class of your memory card before using it in n8.

Still waiting for firmware update. If we can't get the new browser and ui very soon,at least Nokia should give some bug fix and performance improvement. :-(

Anonymous, 24 Jan 2011Some says that the phone encounters problems when using certain classes of SD cards. I've read... moreHmmm! That's strange! I've been using Kinsgton HCSD since long and haven't faced much trouble. I am aware of the fact that a high capacity memory card does slow things down a bit but it's almost abnormal on the N8. I'm looking forward to the PR 1.1 as they're saying it improves performance. I'll part ways with the card otherwise! Thanks for the info! Cheers!

Try removing or just use your previous card(if you have used one before). Since you don't need additional memory as you've said

I've upgraded memory for my N8 by adding a 16GB MSD. The issue is, it seems to have slowed down considerably. Just to make things clear, I don't really require so much space but I just had to try up-sizing the memory to see the effects and they're not very healthy! Anyone else facing the same issue?

GSpot, 24 Jan 2011Ok. So, have had owned this phone for about 2.5 months. What can I say...? It's brilliant. ... moreyeah mate i live in australia and the phone is doing really well in sales here i bought the phone the day it came out and yeah like you said it was worth the wait i just cant wait for the firmware update to give the phone html web browsing and potrait qwerty keyboard but honestly, i gave up my iphone to buy this one.
