[deleted post]Don't get any other phones,must get back the N8,this is the best phone of all so far,forget about X10......android....etc,jus be patient wait for another mth,this phone has the very best of security features,make sure you set the security code next time,it will be useless & pointless for anyone stolen the phone if you have enabled the password protection on this phone,the best one is you can send an sms message in anywhere from other phone to lock N8,once locked this phone is dead and can't be switched off as well,that's meant permanent locked unless you have the password to unlock it,swapping the sim card & removing the battery will be no avail,once power up the phone will ask for the password to be entered. At the same time inform Nokia service centre with your phone IMEI No. immediately,to prevent the stolen phone send to nokia centre for unlocking the code,tell them you have the password to unlock the phone to prove of owner,best with your purchased receipt.

My N8 got stolen now I need to get me a new phone I was going to get a N8 again but vodacom dont have stock only in feb sametime I am think of getting se xperia X10 for the time being but I don t realy like android there an t alot to choose from no symbian phones they don t even have the C7 I am lost now what to do

There will always be new phones coming with better technology and that thing will always continue nomatter which phone you buy.
The thing to unbderstand here is what phone suits your requirement with the money you got.
Anyways I'm really glad I got this phone after my N82 which I still love so much.
One question I wanted to ask N* owners.... The pictures from the phone seem to come lil darker than the actual... is it with your N8's too.
Also the OVI store on my phone does not connect well with the wifi. Its erratic to be honest. any ideas what could be the reason?

i dont care what other people think about the n8, since this is what i decided to buy after asking for demos from other phones...so im happy with it.its a compromise...and for me this is the best compromise i can get...from price to hardware to software...can't ask for anything else for now...not to mention the software support that nokia users are getting...

n8 will be whoooosh out from market soon bcoz already new mobiles are coming from all htc,samsung,sony,lg,motorola and from own nokia n9 so now buying this handset is completely foolishness there's lot more to come better than n8

Edward, 23 Jan 2011Its a shame n8 doesnt have protective cover for its lens,, Nokia should put a cover, even its ... moreNoobie don't think like shit head cos it has its mechanical lens unlike other completely open,and moreover,its glass cover isn't normal,it is hard glass especially for camera lens.

Its a shame n8 doesnt have protective cover for its lens,, Nokia should put a cover, even its 12mp is superb, dust and finger print will ruin the quality of the picture taken. it has a glass that is scratch resistance ...but the back cover especiallly the around the camera lent .. its easily get scratch..after three months use it looks already a year old...

N8 is better than satio becoz of below advantage:

I still love taking my n8 to the mobile phone stores here in the USA. Noone sells the n8 here really. I ask the store for a case and watch there eyes pop out over my phone....same comment ....'never seen that phone before...it's really nice' ....l 'where did you get it'...
For what it's worth....i got a nokia oem case off ebay that's shipping from Europe. I know...n8 needs no case...but it's sorta slippery to me. Peace...
So happy with my phone....!
