37% daily interest? What is happening??? Did all other brands die too? :-D
This is why I love Symbian. When everything around and inside Nokia was falling apart they introduced the 808 anyway, shocked the world and laughed in the face of death. Now it's all gone and the old warrior N8 is laughing again before going to Valhalla.
And then there was N8 the legend still rokin & kickin.
Aadrian, 18 Oct 2013How good can a phone be, to be still so popular after 3,5 years. The N8 is the best. I just bought another N8 (new, in original box, probably needs a new battery though) for 91 Swiss Francs incl delivery (~100 US dollars). For this kinda price, it's really hard to beat. Great build quality, long battery life with newer BV-4D (808 Pure View/N9 battery spec), free navigation world-wide, FM transmitter, 12MP Carl Zeiss camera w/Xenon flash,Pentaband. What a steal! Now gonna flash with new Delight custom firmware. This frees up more C drive space...OS is very stable with this CFW.

> All apps must ask us in which memory should the app be installed
> It must provide option to create sub folders in the messaging area (like in the my folders area in the Symbian o/s)
> It must provide EXIT option for all the apps.
I need one
Anonymous, 18 Oct 2013Cheer up, be happy, Symbian grave is diffrent from the rest my friend. It's not something to b... moreHaha. Well said. As the song goes "dead but dreaming" might be more appropriate? Or was that Cthulhu? :-) I know, through the years I've become a member/visitor of Mobilescommunity, Mobilephonetalk, IPMart, Zedge, Disqus, DailyMobile, DotSIS, AllNokia, N8FanClub, Symbianzone, AllAboutSymbian, and probably a few others. Oh, and GSMArena too. Almost forgot. :-) Right now my N8 is perfect, got all the apps I need where I want them to be, edited a few themes to cover all the icons, I know almost all of it inside out (except the darker corners) and I'm just updating apps if there's something new. Not much to do except upload something on Zedge here and there. I do hope the community will continue where Nokia quit, and there might even be a legal alternative Store some day on a certain website. Anyway, I could use it like this for years to come, with Nokia dead or not. The way it's going it could live longer than I will. :-)

As if its one of the specification. I used it for 3months and i regret. Here I live, Android browsing cost more than any other OS. Especially when you download App. It sucks!
alen, 17 Oct 2013everyday igot worrid abt nokia closing down its symbian manufacturin i wonda what will happen ... moreYeah! I also love Nokia. Even if it produces dead phones, i will still love Nokia. With Symbian, Nokia will go long. The manufacturers just need to uphold the OS.

Inside the Symbian grave there are alot of Hacking and Moding, Customization, Theme Effects, and Custom Firmware activities.
There are many communities, Sites, and blogs with 3rd party/hacked apps visiting Symbian grave daily.
Ha..Ha.. I'm sure a strong WIFI connection is available all year inside the Symbian grave..
Maybe the dead Symbian might want to resurrect someday. Or perhaps it's utmost spirit will reincarnate somewhere (take a look at iOS7 UI).
We can still enjoy our Symbian phones as long as we want to (until someday we find something that best suit our needs). In the mean time, Symbian is still kicking and alive inside it's grave. What a grave..!
all is well , but not android
any video calling app for Nokia N8. I have Fring But want another.

alen, 17 Oct 2013everyday igot worrid abt nokia closing down its symbian manufacturin i wonda what will happen ... moreNothing. It will still work. It just won't get hipster apps which might as well have a website so they can be accessed by more people with a web browser. Ex. Instagram.

AnonD-129768, 16 Oct 2013Hey every one.. Just want to share that I've started using an android tab such a laggy and pat... moreThe more I know about Android, the more I think I will be buried with my N8. I'm just sad because, last time I checked, there was no wi-fi signal on the graveyard. :-(
Hey every one.. Just want to share that I've started using an android tab such a laggy and pathethic tab hav to use a app to clear its ram again and again well my n8 still rocks in frnt of it cuz it nvr lags or hangs.....awesome camera.... gt a wifi at my home nd my inbuilt browser is awesome working too fast in comparism of that laggy tab....seriously feels vry low about hearing that how nokia killing symbian....I wish we cud do something about making symbian alive.....
The philippine used market is flooded with nokia phones. My pocket, sadly, isn't flooded with money. Nokia 515 is still nowhere to be found and we just had a three day power interruption. Too bad that case with a built-in battery is no longer for sale.
I don't think I'd have problems with used nokias for a while. Everybody is crazy for iphones (which treats me like a stupid person) and androids (data miners).
Anna, 13 Oct 2013You know who you have to look out for, Huawei. It may take them a little while, but those guys... moreMost of Chinese companies are like that. I've read a few Alcatel reviews (they are China-owned now) and they are pretty decent for the price, and the cameras are apparently above average. But I'd rather see GSMArena test one. Huawei are big in Asia I think, as well as ZTE (hey, I have a ZTE DSL modem and it works without any problems) so very shortly it might be hard for Samsung and others to explain why their prices are so much higher.
I'm never sure about estimating whether the flash will fire or not... Sometimes I deliberately turn it off before shooting, just in case. Today I was taking photos of my sister's dog (who is never still) in the evening and I thought the flash would fire, but apparently it was bright enough. I assumed I'll get blurry photos but the exposure was 1/100 sec and I can see hairs and whiskers alright. Go figure. :-) On CameraPro I keep the flash off by default, mostly use it at night. Last night I saw street light behind a tree throwing light/dark beams around through the fog. The photos were okay, hands were steady enough. :-)
@Carol, that's just humans... They don't realize how good something is until it's dead. And that "new" isn't always "better". Heh, my mother said that my music will become popular after I die. Can't wait to see it. :-D
@hareesh - good luck! I'm a bit furious at eBay today because I finally decided to get a tire tread "off road" case for my N8 but it's no longer available, and 1000 other cases aren't much more appealing than what I have now. Maybe they'll start selling them again some day...
