This mobile phone supports viber, whatsapp, skype. .( upgrade to Belle first). Besides it works perfectly with UC browser (faster than Opera Mini). Picture's quality is so good ! Thanks to Nokia :)

raj, 26 Oct 2013hey guys i want to buy Nokia N8 is this better phone than android phones???? plz ans??? Definately u can go for N8, i m using it since an year. My friends have all high end android mobiles But almost all are facing several problems with android. Like mobile becomes too laggy, they sometimes over heat due to many applications running simultaneously & the major issues of virus, android being an open source. But proudly saying, N8 has never let me down in any respect except its low phone memory & limited apps. But it has never affected my usability & convenience. My cell doesnt slow down even a little even if i open 10 applications simultaneously. Its camera is stil unbeatable (except lumia 1020). So in My opinion, go for it. Even though its 3 years old cell, But it has much more in it which u'll not find in any other cell in this budget.

Certainly one of the most outstanding product even release from Nokia cooperation in the era of its time. The Nokia N8 is less data charge on the net especially when comparing it to other andrio products.

If everything works ok, then i say 70% chance is burned. All you can do is to change it, if it is so. You can try to do a factory reset, but from my experience you have quite weak chances to have a software problem.

I just bought it few days ago. Its pictures quality is same or little bit better than Samsung Galaxy S4. Phone is solid build , its voice quality is very good even using loudspeaker ( handfree), its battery is also good but if i use internet it can last only one full day. This handset is not too big and not too small , less heavy, "signal strengh is very good" . I use it for calling and making photos frequently. I always transfer its pictures to my 10" tablet because it is easy for me to edit or write something on the photos. .My opinion: Nokia N8 is still a good camera phone :)

The apps on it are already outdated, for example there's one browser that doesn't even exist any more with the same name. Opera is hugely popular on all platforms and Symbian is too small for them. They haven't even updated Mini or Mobile ever since I got my N8.
There is something like an app store on AllAboutSymbian but it's still "under construction" - who knows, maybe it can turn into something some day.
As for Delight, I won't try anything while my phone still works normally, maybe if I had one more N8. You can see the changelog on their website or here: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/flow/item/17267_Turning_the_Nokia_N8_into_Deli.php it does sound interesting, but nothing that would make me go for it and then re-install all my apps and set all the settings again. Too much work, too little time. :-(

Maybe opera mobile store can rescue the abandoned symbian devs. Maybe the symbian community will have the equivalent of Neo900 team, a group trying to transplant Maemo OS to a slightly better hardware. Because the N900's hardware will all die sooner or later. And some have defective USB port.

its exact 3 years for release of N8, October 2010 to October 2013, & still daily interest 37%. Proud to be the owner of this benchmark cell. & wanna ask, What is the change log in new delight custom firmware ?? Just now, my N8 is running on symbian belle refresh. So if i install delight firmware, What differences will i observe in my cell ?? Or its just for freeing up the phone memory ??

This is why I love Symbian. When everything around and inside Nokia was falling apart they introduced the 808 anyway, shocked the world and laughed in the face of death. Now it's all gone and the old warrior N8 is laughing again before going to Valhalla.

Aadrian, 18 Oct 2013How good can a phone be, to be still so popular after 3,5 years. The N8 is the best. I just bought another N8 (new, in original box, probably needs a new battery though) for 91 Swiss Francs incl delivery (~100 US dollars). For this kinda price, it's really hard to beat. Great build quality, long battery life with newer BV-4D (808 Pure View/N9 battery spec), free navigation world-wide, FM transmitter, 12MP Carl Zeiss camera w/Xenon flash,Pentaband. What a steal! Now gonna flash with new Delight custom firmware. This frees up more C drive space...OS is very stable with this CFW.

> It must provide option to create sub folders in the messaging area (like in the my folders area in the Symbian o/s)
