-Nice beautiful screen
-High class material on the silver version
-Music sound quality presented no creeks
-Camera not bad, but still below k750i's
-Navigation arrow and confirming button not seperated
-Camera macro not good, pictures blurry
-Slide feels unsave compared to e.g 5300,6288 (No assisting spring)
-Battery life lasted only 2 days with fair use(3 days stand-by only)
-Keypad not that user-friendly(As the review said, 123 too close to screen)
-Laggs a lot when applying themes, opening gallery(Not confirm not all firmware)
-Menue icons a bit confusing to new user of N-series
So thats that, more cons then pros, but afterall its up to you guys to decide.
P.S I switch my N80 to a 6288 within 2 week of use. The slide was indeed frustrating.
I just upgraded my phone- from a 6880- to a 6288, I've had it less than 24hours, and I hate it, its a big step down! can someone please tell me if the n80 works the same way as the 6680? In so far as when texting, you can type the contacts name, rather than scroll through the directory to find it? Or recommend another nokia to try? many thanks!
hey guys .. lsn the n80 is a very cool phone but i need i little help plz , when i want to use the wifi it connects but when u open a web site it says "no wep gate replay" or something like that , and i tryed many places ,, its not the wifi its my phone .. plz help i really need the wifi .. thanks very much
Okie stupid me i reformatted the minisd card that came with it that has some programs or files on it for extra features i was wondering if anyone had it kickin around and would like to contact me to email it to me plz and and ty just post ill i get a hold of u some how
It plays 3gp files and mp4 files...it says in the specs Mpeg4 Player. If your downloading a game make sure the resolution is the same as the phone you are going to play it on, in this case, 352 x 416 pixels, otherwise it wont be full screen. And for all of you complaining about how slow it is, if you put heaps of games and apps on it of course it will be slow cause it has to process more information, it only has like a 200 something Mhz processor and a little bit of RAM, so i suggest you only install what you need, and not everything that you see for the phone and then start crying about it being so slow. It is slower than other phones i've used but once you get use to it, it isnt that bad considering the size of the screen and what it can do.
The square on the front at the top of the phone is a 3G VGA camera for video calling. And to check the firmware version of your N80, you key in *#0000#. Love ; N80 !
guys, any idea how to check the firmware from your phone? any specific steps? thanks alot..
hey i just wanted to know the square on the front of the phone at the top is that bit a camera too?

The 3rd party applications are shocking!better than java, yes but on the whole they look and operate like they have been constructed in 30 minutes!!!!
DavidC, i had the same problem y cant stablished a connection, if you get it right please tell me.
other thing i cant use the UPnP with my laptop either.
I just had the N80ie for the past couple of days, sending text msg. was fast, battery seems good, wi-fi loads up quickly, resolution is very nice & one of the best, the slider is ok, and it comes w/a 256mb card from nokiausa, d best phone!
I purchased the N80 based on the facts that it supports many third party softwares that are easy to install and remove. Thanks to symbian OS.
Although other models have slight better camera and sound quality, but the N80 has wifi which is to me the most important function for smartphones.
Problem syncing to MS Outlook on Asus notebook.
I have followed the instructions to either sync via USB cable or Bluetooth and cannot get a connection with either. I have previously successfully synced with another PC using the same instal software. I tried again after downloading the latest version of Nokia PClink from the Nokia website, but no luck
