Hey, if this phone is anything like the N70, which it appears to be, then you cannot change the icons that are on the main screen. It looks to be the same screen format as my N70 and you can't change the icons. I could be wrong, though. Check the manual. It will explicitly say whether you can or can't.
Congrats on buying a great phone! To change the main screen shot cuts follow this:
Tools -> Settings -> Phone -> Standby -> Active standby apps ...
Here you can configure your shortcuts!

you might want to get N80 instead.
N93 is too expensive and the only difference is the video quality and you can connect N93 to a TV.
I dont think you can always use your N93 for TV or video so why pay for that feature...
I just got it yesterday and ist great. i just want to know how to change the main screen, it has 6 icons (addy book, txt, claender, web, tunes n gallery) and I want to get rid of some and replace them with some more frequently used ones. Thanks to anyone who helps.
should i get the n80 than the n93? i am so confuse on which one to buy... any suggestions please?? i like the n80 coz of its slider and slick look. and it has the same features pretty much than what n93 have.. i just dont like the n93 being big and bulky....
Thanks Owen and SeF for the valuable input! I'm sort of leaning towards the N73 ME; I'm just wondering if it's available in Singapore yet.
Ive recently had this phone on contract and it is by far the best phone i have had yet. Looks great and is great all round. I havent had any problems with it, definately worth having :)
Hey ekendraed, get to a service centre. I had the same issue and there was no fix i or carphonewarehouse could do. Had to send it back to Nokia.
if you're not into internet or Wifi, then you should get the N73 Music edition.
i have both N80 and N73 Music Ed. they both are great phones.
N80 for Internet
N73 for Music and Camera
I have a Nokia N80 that is STUCK on OFFLINE mode. I have tried everything in the book to go ONLINE. can anyone help?
better get an N80,.. for features and money wise,.. N73 only has good camera bit traditional looks,. but N80 has everything and even better than N73...
Just got the phone back from carphonewarehouse after two weeks. They had to send the phone back to Nokia who didnt even have the decency to upgrade the firmware and made the phone dirty.
Had to upgrade the firmware to V 4.0623.0.42 now via the nokia website using PC Suite. Overall don't really notice a difference except maybe the phone boots up a tad faster. OS is still slow as hell. Needless to say i've tried nokia and im not impressed at all!.
the one with the psiloc remote conrtol... don`t be stupid and don``t post your imei on the internet
This is a great phone, I've been using it for about a month now. My only problem is the battery life, however it lasts a whole day for me and that's all I need (Who leaves their house for more than 24 hours with no charger?). The wifi is great, although it does tend to suck the battery a lot faster.
If you do have a big problem with the battery life, buy spare battery to carry round. That gives you about 6 hours talk time?
The only other thing is it's SLOW. But that's the OS problem, a lot of phones have similar problem. Don't like it, then change the OS. Google it.
