I have to say that all the stuff about this phone being posted on this site are highly over exagerated. Like the battery, I've read somewhere that it didn't last a day with moderate use(about an hour of surfing, i don't surf much with the phone as i have a laptop i use to surf instead, and about 1h 3- mins worth of calling or so, and moderate messaging), but my phone can manage 2. The reception is top notch like all other nokia's I've used in the past. I bought a silver one btw. Made in Finland.
anybody knows if it is posible to resize a game image to fit the nokia n80 screen
Re- Black Or Silver - I agree with below commment - software etc will be same - but is the black one made in a different location outside of europe and inferior to the silver one?? can anyone else confirm this?????
please any body tell mi how to start wi-fi conection on my nokia n80 and i don't now the distance between the phone and the base how long is the distance in mettres
Silver and black N80s: I think your dealer in Chicago is taking you for a ride on the wild side, trying to justify the shortage in black N80s!!! Both silver and black have exactly the same software, their only difference is the colour and of course, after sales eventual software upgrades...
A great disappointment. No battery at all...N73 proves to be the best so far.
hello there, can somebody help me to explain what is the really use of a firmware? need your advice about this one.. tnx a lot..
can someone help me!i install a theme ,but when i format my memory card and try to install that same theme an error occured.pls help, tnx
Yes, there is a software difference between the Silver N80s and the Black ones. I am fortunate enough to live near the Nokia Flagship store here in Chicago USA, and that's what the representative told me. They are not yet selling the Black ones at this store due to this software difference between the Silver N80s and the Black ones.
Just want to know how I would know what version od firmware my phones using & where can read up more as to how to make use of all my fuctions etc,
Hiiiiii. Does anyone know how to set the alarm for the week (instead of having to set it every night)? Also, does anyone know how to set the # key to activate silent mode? My # key swaps between lines.
I am using a Motorola HS850 bluetooth with the N80, and when I receive or make a call the volume level automatically lowers to below half. I continually adjust and then the bluetooth volume lowers which then needs also adjusting. Using the bluetooth with a Motorola phone, there is no problem. Has anybody experienced this and ifso what was done about it? Upgrading firmware did not solve this problem. Speaking of firmware, there are two versions available.
V 4.0623.0.41 is for a generic N80 which is a fully clean phone and v3.0617.0.6 is for a network phone. A network phone is one where the phone is unlocked however the software includes their logos, for example in Australia Telstra have the Telstra symbal and optus the ZOO. Overall there is not much difference between the two firmware. To get the higher version you pay for it at a Nokia service centre and the lower can be upgraded
