I think some of the people that comment on this phone needs to eat some disprins. Some are totally over-reacting and exaggerating by telling the worse of this phone. This is the fanciest all-rounded phone around !
Can't wait to get my hands on this phone !!
The N80's that came out in JHB already had all these software problems like freezing etc. The new versions thats coming out has all the firmware / software upgrades and stuff and it will be the best phone on the market !!!
From a fan...
Well i got my 4th Nokia N80 today
no wobbles at all,
had to send my last 3 back because when the phone is closed, the silver part wobbled from left to right!!
this one seems to be OK.... so far!
i put my 2GB card in it, works great
im finding it a doddle to use, no bugs or freezing either
it doesnt have the latest firmware on it, but will wait until were all able to download it online from Nokia website
overall i quite like the N80, no complaints....er... yet!
lets hope it stays that way !
Well, good to know all of you here!
As i've understood, we are dealing with 4 groups of people,
1)The ones who bought N80
2)The ones whos friend bought N80 but they pretend to be having it on their own.
3)the ones who wants to buy N80 but can't afford or still undecided.
4)and the ones who bought other phone but wanted N80.
I got this phone yesterday after long thinking comparing, and weighing all aspects, but finally bought it,(Silver model though)
Gorgeous beautiful and very functional piece of equipment!
though, a little specific about controls and menues, as well as navigation of those.
so far no bugs, no complaints, and it's solid body don't play!
Good Luck to All groups of people mentioned above except group 1!(they are already lucky)
Anyone having a problem with the cretificte when installing application? Go To Tools--> App Manager-->Options-->Settings and change the SOftware Installation to "All" instead of "Signed Only". At your own risk but personally think that it should not be that dangerous.
i bought this phone 2 weeks ago... i know the battery suks but cmon guys u cannot expect everything perfect u have a phone that works with the wifi and also wireless keyboards!! where can i find tips to unblock it from vodafone???!!!
Can i use the flash in (video mode) ?. Please sumone reply ,coz i decide to buy it.
besides buying a samsung phone with tele output & transferring videos over to it how can i get hold of a gadget that takes my videos by wi-fi to play on my tele.
i just got this fone n i was scared cuz sum of u guys said that it takes along time to sms and it usually gets stuck n battery life is really crap..but now im using it and the sms isnt slow its about a sec n ive sent 10 smses called 3 times used the camera n video recoder a coulpe of times, used the music player, conected it to the comp n never turned of bluetooth n its still has full bat even tho i charged it for about 1 hour..the only bad thing is the slider is a bit wobly but everything else is great especially the screen
I want to buy this phone or maybe a LG M4410. anyone know if this phone supports video recording? I hav to hav this phone but wish nokia would make a v3
just got my 1000ma battery 1hr ago & on charge,,,also bought double stand charger to charge spare battery & phone at same time,,will get some test results to you after 5 good charges to be fair...the normal battery gives 9hrs 40 mins of back to back mp3 & back to back full screen vid 3hrs 40 mins which is a slight increase on my last figures so with time things do get slightly better.
This phone is great. Features are 2 good. Camers is also 2 good. but not in Indoor. I am not happy with the sliding. 6280 have better sliding then the N80. after paying so much , why nokia is not providing good sliding. In my opinion it is good. Sliding will only create problem when u keep ur mobile in your trouser pocket. Otherwise i am happy with the phone. go ahead guys and purchase this phone.
Nokia is the best im sure your'l tried the rest think its time your'l use the best.
For anyone thinking of buying this phone, READ ON!!! It's simply not worth the price.. I've had it for 2 months now and am thinking of switching to SE for the first time. Sure it has great features like WLAN but what use is it unless the signal is free? You even have to type in the WEP key each time you try to connect.. it's sooo frustrating. Battery life lasts about 1 and a half days of normal usage (i.e. a few calls and text msg and photos, not even using the WLAN and Bluetooth)!!!! Put in a 1GB card and fill it up with songs and videos and pictures and the gallery menu simply refuses to open, hanging the phone everytime you try to access it.. What were they thinking? I'm so disappointed...
Dont get fooled by SE fans! This masterpiece rocks!
Just take a look at the ratings! It's the most high-rated mobile with the most hits! 2201166 till now!
So many people voted...they can't be wrong!
I have this phone now for two months. Apart at the beginning, I've changed the phone twice. First one the secondary camera fails. Second one was a communication error every 5 mins of conversation. Third one perfect.
If you have a previous Nokia phone you can upload via Bluetooth all your contact details which is a God send as I have over 250 contacts
I must say that this phone is great for office uses, email, and calendar.
Camera is a little disappointing for indoor shoot. But outdoor is great.
WAN is good too access to the internet via broadband is very fast.
All in all I think this is a great phone.
am gonna take N80 in next 7 days..can u suggest me,is it worth to take..is evrything ok abt this mob, like software problems & etc..
Think twice about getting this phone. It takes for ever to switch on, the battery life is dreadful and the build quality is poor. Make sure you get insurance if you get the N80, you'll need it. Drop the phone and it's history.
I've had this phone for 2 months now. Apart from battery performance, software lag and "Gallery" issues, this is a fantastic phone. I would give it 80/100. I think everyone knows the battery problem with this phone, I dont know why Nokia still ignores it and waits for "official" feedback.
