I have the N80 on 3, and admittedly, the battery life is very unimpressive. Having read that there is an option to improve battery life, by switching to GSM, i was very angry when i found out that 3 removed this option.
Nokia told me that 3G networks are very demanding of 3G phones and so that battery life will inevitably be much shorter regardless of whatever phone, and the battery life estimates they give are based on gsm networks. If ANYONE has any tips to preserve battery life please SHARE! My phone lasts 2 days with minimal talk time, and no listening to music or taking pictures.
coolio mail me if u want themes for n80 i have many of them. email@example.com
hey if you download themes here the address you can download mp3 images video themes everything you want copy and paste it gallery.mobile9.com
The nokia N80 is a very elegant and smart phone, easy to use, but the battery life is poor, we def need a better battery. because the battery life spoils the whole phone because no one wants a phone with a bad battery life!!!
i waited for nokia n80 for long time and was just purchased when came to know that its battery timing is so short. ohhhhhhhh. its great disappointing for me. i had experiencd that in each nokia mobile phone, some of the drawback is intentionally left by manufactrer.so that customer may come for another soon, after experiencing one phone. nokia will never make a perfect phone. these are the tactics to force the customer to come change one after another.
does anyone of you knows where to download free themes of n80? =) kindly share it.
a more powerful battery thats all we want. its still a long way to go before nokia will release their n83 as rumored. 2007 will be its release.
Cannot believe america behind us in uk & from sharp 903 site it seems like new zealand /aust are not getting our handsets just yet..NOT having a go at you in anyway just so suprised i thought americas wud have top of the range advanced fones with it being the only superpower !!!
everybody need to write nokia and tell them. we need a more powerful battery for the Nokia N80. and get ur friends to write them aswell. i dont know if it will work. but everthing is worth trying. lets try that everybody.
just buyed one, it's ok for the moment. but ..
Stand-by Up to 192 h
Talk time Up to 3 h
uh that worries me a bit.
Had the N80 for 2 months or so,had to return it 14 days ago,as the themes where not showing up on the applications to allow removal,so i formatted the memory card, and it wouldnt let me reinstall any themes that where on the card when fomatted, new themes are fine, same thing happened again today, giving them one more chance to provide me with a working phone, then its a new model, can't decide on the k800i or the nokia N93
it would be better if nokia manufacture more powerful battery for n80 that will last for 3 days. *hoping* geeeezz, i just love my black n80. =p though is quite expensive, just love it love it love!!!
you have to understand people that n80 is a lil bit slower than any other fones. because it has a lot of feautres, thats why it will take more time because of the processes to run on a symbian fone like n80.
all that i can say is that n80 is really a nice phone. it has everything you need. i love every features they included on it.
im a SE user before...
what i hate most about SE is that their price reduced faster than nokia phones. compare the w800i before its first release in the philippines was php28000 then after 3 months, its price goes down to php20000 then php15000. while n70 its first release was php30000 then still its price is php19-21000. SE cellphones manufactures faster than nokia. from w800i to w810i from w900i to w950i. they have the same specs when compared to their successor. i just dont like SE phones. they usually reproduce their cellphones like t610 to t630.
nokia in the philippines is still the most popular phone in the country. the reason why? they capture every filipinos needs. =)
I have read all the massage about this phone and i think this phone is not for everyone.
Hey guys you've said that a bl-5c battery would work on a n80 but it is clearer longer than the packaged battery. Just want to make sure b4 buying one
