i have screen on full brightness but dont find it super bright altho its on another planet in resolution.I find it absolutly brilliant and had a few teething troubles such as weak signal and flickering screen wen selecting gallery and returning to select image video, but these have now disappeared. Also the macro slide switch does not only alter the lens but activates a macro mode circuit within the n80.
yes! of course! as long as you have enough memory. i use it as a memory device sometimes.
Last month, I bought the SE W900i for a couple of days and i was already happy and satisfied with it. it was THE PHONE for me but unfortunately, i payed way too much so i decided to return and leave it for the even more interesting and exclusive N80 for its Wi-Fi and uPnP capabilities. It had all of the features of the W900i and more! I was happy cuz i made the rite decision. its so much more than i expected. the web browsing is exactly like wat it would be on a computer but on a smaller, yet still very clear screen. i use my N80 more often than my laptop now when i connect to the internet! the reception is awesome and the battery isnt a problem. i also like the fact that i could use my N80 as a replacement for a usb driver, cd, or floppy disk for school assignments, being a college student. Also, i use my N80 to read reports and notes for school whenever i run out of ink from my printer. Text messages are so easy to type up because of the comfortable keypad. The camera is crisp and clear for a camera phone! and the sound (specially for the radio) is so clean and clear, even though music is not the main function of the N80. The screen is also da bomb! It's so clear! This is only a taste of what the phone has to offer! I've had it for almost a month now and it still continues to amaze me with its features. This phone is so much better than any other phone that i've ever owned (Motorola Razr V3, V300, SE T610, W800, and W900, and Nokia 6230i, 6620, and N70)! N80 is the whole package! it's hands down the Best phone I've ever had!!! and wayy better than SE W900..
I have just purchased the n80 but am struggling to see the writing when I do text ? I cant find a setting that lets me change the size of the text can anyone help ? all I can do is change the theme, this then changes the colour of the writing to white but the writing is very thin and I still cant see it ?

Hy, i wanted to know is this phone slow or fast (using menu and other functions)? and is it true about the `bug` when you send a mesage, you must wait few minutes to make a call from it? Thanks.
Hmmm, in addition to below, someone said that they have:
Nokia N80 ( 08 )
Nokia N80 (45.02)
But no information, what updates those include and whether they are suitable to my N80 region model (I suppose that there is different versions of N80 to europe/asia/america-markets - so those firmware versions may vary due to that too).
So aguess I should get contact to Nokia Service Center to get updata to phone (if someone don't know that's the only way, so no self-done firmware updates possible ; )
But check with *#0000# what firmware version you have in N80 and if it's newer than these mentioned, inform it here and tell what area of world you are.
Have you with N80 got any firmware updates to phone?
You can check the firmware version by entering *#0000#
My N80 firmware version is V 3.0614.0.3 11-04-2006 RM-92
Do you have newer and do you know any real improvments in them?
My greatest concerns are
- new browser telling too often that there's not enough memory, thoug there's plenty of it free - seems to be some kinda bad feature / bug
- bad video resolution (aguess due to poor mpeg4-encoding)
hi guys i need help in my n80

if some one try to send me bluetooth there is very very quit sound to warn me that some one try to send me somthing is there any i deai to make this soun louder
the phone is fantastic speciaaly who are camera lovers....i also use a n93 ....we can say that itis a little cheap version to n93 where features are concerned....n93 is bit expensive...than n80
I consider this phone a versatile one, only with short battery life. However, charging it every night is not a big deal for me..
One thing, mine is silver color, and I want to change to black one.. please if you have some info on disassembling the cover, it will be appreciated very much..ty
