the phone is fantastic speciaaly who are camera lovers....i also use a n93 ....we can say that itis a little cheap version to n93 where features are concerned....n93 is bit expensive...than n80
I consider this phone a versatile one, only with short battery life. However, charging it every night is not a big deal for me..
One thing, mine is silver color, and I want to change to black one.. please if you have some info on disassembling the cover, it will be appreciated very much..ty
0mg, if ur somebody who's got alota patience and a hell lota time to waste. den this phone wud b perfect 4 ya! e problem is, 4 every msg u send u'd have to wait for atleast 5-7 mins before u can call out or do anything with the phone. it'd hang like nobody's business.
No doubt the battery wud last not up to 3 hrs. as its a 3g phone. And the reception is horrible! i duno y. but it is.
The reason y im still keeping this phone is that e camera is sharp. its gd. =) but what's the point?. Like if im meeting a fren at her blk and id have to call her when i reach her place. when i've reached n at e same time i jus sent out a msg. i'd have to wait for 5 mins at least till my n80 is "unhang" to call out and tell her i;ve been downstairs already.
i took e phone to upgrade the software. the problem is still there. =(
god one person is smart....you see you can buy a battery and the probl solved why you do like a baby.this message is for nokia HATERS...bt the best mark is NOKIA the nokia have the best moblieS
Don't complain about battery life, just buy an additional battery and problem solved. Not expensive at all comparing the price of the phone.
As for the phone, I find it very unique design either u like or hate it. A bit thick but short but also very nice sliding phone.
Functionality, one of the best on the market..
Dear Jack -
Thanks for your opinion - unfortunately i had already signed for the phone last week, i get it delivered this week-so i'll let you know what i think! but from reading more opinions i get the idea that more are good about the n80 than bad. I don't think the battery life is an issue, i charge my current 6230 every night anyway - my biggest concern was the quality of the sliding mechanism & other software glitches and speed etc - but i'll let you know!
you dont know about mobiles the messages is only for the haters about nokia the mobile is too small i saw it and i love it........is too small for te feautures that is available on this phone
This phone is SO fat! Its so incredibley chunky its stupid. Good phone, but WAYYY to big to consider
The phone is just GRAND!!! Cant be beaten on functionality and accuracy!!! You wont be dissapointed!!!
The question that you musk ask for yourself:
- do you need smartphone or not?
1. If yes, than the next question :
- which one you prefer (better camera or better music)?
- do you like memory card/no?
2. If you don't need/use smartphone, than you must choose nonsmartphone model.
acctully im things of n80 coz of gud camera n according 2 new performances n91 is best help me where i should go
Do you guys know if there is any t.v remote control for this phone.
To be clear, i am not a huge Nokia fan, my first cell ever was Moto and up and untill i bought the N80 i was using the V3i. I am a Sr. Operation Manager, and i just wanna lay down my personal opinion here, considering i like multi-media and business advantages.
You can say what ou like, do as you pleae, and buy what you want..
Other that the fact that this phone is a little thick (especially coming from a previous razr user) and the low battery life (though i don't mind the charging every night b4 i go to bed).
The N80 is by far THE best phone i have ever held, no questions about it, the facts are there and hands down, the N80 is simply WOW!
u could consider N80 over N91. the only good things about N91 over N80 are
-superior sound quality
-4GB of space
if these 2 things are not ur priority then go for N80
i was once considering buying this thing, it looks good, has excellent features but i happened to change my mind seeing so many negative reviews. although user experience varies there are lot of people worried about a short battery life(due to 800 mAh battery) & a few other problems.
on the other hand the N73 is a very good phone to be considered, its just released and no one has yet said anything negative about the phone yet. but then again its functionality is limited compared to the N80.
if u wish to oversee these minor inconviences then this phone will be just amazing as its packed with more than what you would want. if not other's can be considered.
do let us know what uve decided :)
one of the best phones...the others...look Nseries at http://www.nokia.com/nseries/index.html?loc=inside,main_n92&lang=en&country=R1
Hi i'm about to get the N80 this week-should i reconsider? some reviews say it's brilliant and sone others are saying it's terrible - are these just individual concerns or is the phone really bad quality? ie slow & having reception issues?
Hey Guys, was wondering... can we use MSN messenger on the N80 since it has wifi on the go...? Any software to install..? thx in advance...
