This phone has weak battery (barely one day), not enough RAM (17MB after boot), poor camera (extreme noise in low-light scenes) and poor housing (loose slider and battery cover).
Australia still does not have this phon, the nokie site said Q1 2006, which has well and truly past, but it now says July, 2006, and i rang Optus and they said they will have it in a couple of weeks, anyone else heard this or any other release date in Oz?
I own a N80 for over a month now, and all I can say is that it's the best mobile human ever created!!!
unless you have mega sized fingers you won't have a problem. go for it because is a great phone
I got my nokia n80 a week ago and it's great. The battery life is ok for a smart phone but be aware if you have been using sony ericsson previous to th n80 you might be dissappointed. Great screen, fantastic features especially the wi-fi. Camera is very good also but it lacks autofocus. All and all it's gonna be very hard for a year or two for the manufactures to come up with a better phone than n80
I own a N70 and I was looking forward to buythe N80 also. I have read the review. It says, the topline of the keypad is difficult to reach. I would like to know, from current users of N80, is it is difficult to reach the topline of the keypad ?
i work for vodafone uk and iv had this fone for a while now. its by far the best phone available at the moment and i doubt that there will be a better phone available for at least 6 months.
as you all aware the battery is not powerful enough (Li-On 820mAh (BL5-B).
The other alternative is to get spare battery with capacity Li-On 1000mAh. For Nokia its very hard to get Li-Polymer type.
To guys n gals who r ranting about the battery life.. please .. u want to use music player, wifi, bluetooth..camera.. a laptops battery lasts what 4-6 hours with contant use...so just zip it...a smartphone's battery will not last over a day...maybe 2 at the most...and a spare battery costs just 6 bucks.. so stop mooning over it...
I cant believe some countries still dont have this phone! Kinda stupid, isnt it?!

im gona get my nokia n80 silver this afternoon! im so excited i cant wait to get out of the office! im gona post my first impressions tomorow! hope im not disapointed, i wana be shocked!
ok, think i'm gonna leep the phone. things to bear in mind for the average user, the slider slides when putting in jean pocket (k800 may be as big but no slider to damage) and texting is a little 'close'.
best featured phone out there though. i can imagine if i drop this phone though, it will smash into eeny weeny pieces! fragile?
hey dee do you go to Crawford Pretoria? And you can order N80 of the internet.
i have just recently purchased my n80 and i am loving it i went from the samsung d500 to this and i love the slider and all the features are more than even i require but it does come in handy to have microsoft word sometimes all in all probably one of my favorite phones yet
The code is longer, go to Howard forums for answers. Unless u are constantly using Wi-fi, the battery is not as bad as people say. I tried listening to music for 2-3 hours, made some calls, used Wi-fi a few times, and still have battery at the end of the day. Well worth the money, especiailly when playing videos!
