Dude ur soooo lame...It's those thing where you plug to a coputer...
Where are you from? LameLand
I live mostly in Canada and the US and as a frequent traveler I am subscribing to mobile services from Rogers Wireless, T-Mobile, Cingular, Peoples in HK and China Mobile in China. I would like to post my impressions with this little and truly amazing phone since there seem to be a lot of confusion about its network functionality in North America. I am a heavy mobile user and subscribe to both voice and unlimited data services with all 3 above mentioned North American carriers. My unit was purchased in Singapore and it does have a fully functional quad band GSM with GPRS and EDGE support on 850/900/1800/1900 MHz bands. The EDGE on this model is very fast and the reception for both data and voice is exceptional on both 850 and 1900MHz bands. The Nokia N80 is available in 2 flavors one is Quad GSM with 2100MHz WCDMA support for the International markets and the second which should be available later this year with 1900MHz WCDMA for the North America market. All phones that are being sold today are the 2100 MHz International version. It is highly desirable to turn off the 2100MHz UMTS service since the phone keeps looking for the UMTS signal and is wasting enormous amount of battery power. Once the UMTS is switched off the battery life extends substantially. As of today the importance of the 1900MHz WCDMA feature is minimal in North America only Cingular has rolled out this network in only few of the biggest US cities.
no comments hope to buy one but want to know if i can download msn and chat with my wifi???? PLS LET ME KNOW ANYONE
Hey folks I just found how to increase the brightness. If someone needs to know, go to settings, phone display and maximize the light sensor :)))
The more I am using it, the more I am loving it... World's Best Phone Ever!
BTW my next phone is Nokia N83 as soon as it releases. (probably Feb 2007)
One more quick question folks...
Does the 2 GB sdcard work fine with N80? I am going to order one tomorrow. N 80 users please, advise.
Thanks folks for your help!
I am able to transfer music now. Amazing player. Even phone's speaker is great.Good equalizers. Sexcillent phone. Very small in comparison with how it appears on pics. Best phone Nokia ever made.
Can someone please help with Screen Brightness. Can we increase the brightness?
Nokia BB5 Firmware Flashing Guide
It is now possible to upgrade your Nokia N80 firmware through a USB cable!
cannot make it, poor battery life. How can this be classified as mobile phone when u have to charge it often when u using Wi-Fi, bluetooth, making call... and the battery don't even last for 12 hrs????
i think you can look for the screen setting.
use the provided cable or just drag mp3 to the miniSD Card that would be faster.
I don't have a nokia n80 yet but hoping to get one. Is it a good phone and worth it?
Answer to your questions you can send music to the phone by using a lead or bluetooth usb attached to your computer. But with the n80 as it has wifi suppose to be easier as you can just drag and drop but not sure how. Sorry maybe can tell you tomorrow if i get one.
Someone please help me:
I just have my new Black N80 in my hands. Can u pls answere my 2 quick quick question:
1. Can we increase the brightness of the screen display?
2. How do I download music from PC to N80
I have the choice of any phone whats out in england at the moment. N80 looks and seems like the best as im a student and want mp3, 3g, Fm, and all the rest and other ideas?
Just LISTEN to the difference. The N80 has teh standard Nokia sound quality. The N91 has special internal HIFI hardware...it blows you away. If you love music then its the N91. If you want another standard Nokia camera phone (okay with WIFI but N91 hs that too) then get an N80
Why do you think the N91 is better!?
Clearly the N80 is the best of those two. Better camera, way better screen, UPnP technology, 2.0 bluetooth! The only advantages that N91 has in my opinion is the internal harddrive! I don't like it's design, strange way to 'open' the phone!
So it will definetely be N80 for me :o)
i've got n91 a week ago and i think it is better then n80 because there is only differnce of shape and camera. N91 has 4 gb build in memory i dont know how many songs i can feed in it. Luv n91 my 3rd nokia fone first i bought n70, than n90 and now n91 but my next fone is n72 good fone i liked it....
Would DEFINITELY wait for the US model that has WCDMA 850 in it before buying the N80. You'll get good reception using the current model in the population centers,using your 1900 band, but if you need good reception in conference rooms, elevators, or in rural areas, you'll be very glad you waited for the US model which will have the WCDMA 850. I've had phones with and without 850 mhz, and live in a rural area where the phone without the 850 was pretty much useless.
Hope this helps anyone living in the States.
Have a nice weekend.
The N80 does have a little screen saver but the flashing Blue light is the new screen saver from Nokia telling you your phones working,sometimes it shows a orange screen as well
HEllo Everybody Donot get confused about 3 mega and 3.2 mega. N 80 is 3 MP having camera resolution of 2048x1536 pixels same as SonyEricson k800 has both have same if divide it with 1024x1024 you will get answer 3 mega.
2048x1536 = 3145728
1024x1024 = 1048576
3145728/1048576 = 3
