The blue flashing light can be switched off by setting:
Tools-Settings-Phone-Display-Sleep mode: off.

iv been reading this post ever since it started, i finaly got my n80 saturday on vodafone uk, no bugs, no crarhes, nothing! voda havnt even branded it! brilliant fone, iv also got an n70 and the n80 puts it to shame!
Hi everyone, I'm facing a problem with my N80.. When i press the keypad of the phone with the slider down, i can feel that the slider is loose.. Loose in the sense that there is a gap between the upper part(slider) and lower part(keypad body).. The strange thing is that only the left side is loose but the right side is still tight.. I went to nokia care but they say cannot be fixed.. N80 users, do u face the same problem too? I just want to know whether it is normal anot.. Thanks..
Brian from Texas:
do you have the phone? Have you veified that it does not have A2DP?
how do you play vids thru tele is there some kind of adapter that plugs into the scart socket of your tele
whats the difference between silver and black. is one more limited than the other?
You're right. Some websites list A2DP being supported. But I've also read that it's not, that the only Bluetooth 2.0 functionality is the faster data transfer speed, A2DP being left out.
For now I would not count on A2DP (stereo Bluetooth) being included with the N80.
Thanks, KEN. I figured you could turn off the shutter sound effect. You've been able to on all other Nokia's, why not this one?!
Quote from KEN
"the phone is brilliant, for those who are concerned about the camera sound when they take pictures or record video, yes you can turn the sound off, to do this go into the phone setting icon and then disable the keypad sound of the phone.by doing this the camera sound will not function when you press the shutter"
Can someone who has the N80 confrm whether or not the phone has A2DP? I have read erviews that claim it is there.
NOKIA N 80 has created a new revolution on INDIAN market. It is a cell phone of all essential features which a best cell phone should have to make it a CLASS set. It's a phone of unique features and of greater performance.
Why u all want black, black? Here in Malaysia all are in black! I'm waiting for silver. When I will ha
ve chance to see it? (UK don't have black, Malaysia has all black. Something wrong.)
Quite chuffed with a deal i've just got with O2.
Still £129.99 phone, but I have it on O2 200, half price rental for 12 months, with a further 20% off - meaning just £12 per month!
Stock is supposed to (finally) come in on 6th June. 1st batch was faulty, hence the further delays.
Just saw the phone in a high street shop (on Vodafone) - it is a hell of a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be - no problem with accessing the top row of numbers as mentioned in the review.
i dont know what everyone sees in this phone but the k800i is a much better option
I've just read in another forum thank the container ship delivering the N80 to the UK sank on route, does anyone know if this is true or a hoax story? Is that why there are no Black N80's in the UK???
saw a silver dummy of the phone in the noka shop today, look alot smaller than I thought it would!!
Cant wait to see the black one, even with the faults this is the phone for me.
Any one know if the lock unlock problems will be fixed with the new firmware??
@ TAil... I doubt that black version is limited as I found it in shops in Croatia and usually you do not get limited editions there due to small market. Price is as you listed for UK, but this is becuase it comes as phone only for now (no packaged version yet).
