"Video is a crap"-thats all you see on user opinion.Just buy 6280 and n80 will take up to 700euros.The features are indeed stunning, but a lot of people would not use the wlan often and they only be happy and proud that is there like feature.Wi-fi another blast in phone industry, basicly its a fast internet connection BUT will not go over phone limits.Infrared.....Nokia put it in there because of numerous complains-here comes another BUT-,but isn't better than bluetooth that is upgradable.Nokia should do a phone like.....7.2 mgp camera with auto focus from se,60gb internal memory with card slot micro sd up to 20gb,wlan,gprs 100mbps,display 20 trilion culors and about pixels-many as hell-,video capure with the smallest resolution 1600x1400, the battery life at least 12 days.If nokia will make this phone until september 2006 i'm going to buy it even for 5000£.
To person 2 posts below me
How can a phones screen be covered in horizontal "noise"????
Post me opinion about Nokia N80
to all you cats from the UK: would you please stop it with the "I got it for £45" sh1t,
Should be more precise when mentioning video recording on a N80. The fault is when you record video indoors. I sure hope all these people who are going out to get this phone check the unit out before they sign their life away. It is simple put the phone in camera mode, when the camera is activated, image mode is your first option. Then simply press the options key and choose video mode. If your potential new phone's screen is covered in video noise horizontal across the screen you have a faulity unit in your hands. Be sure you do this quick test with only indoor lighting. Out doors the unit is fine but does suffer from video noise when film dark to light areas. Do not believe me test an N70 under the same conditions and no noise at all. It is your choice if the unit is faulty. All the Best
Superior camera but inferior video quality.
Small but thick in size, cute yet solid.
Hope Nokia could resolve the video problems.
Puzzled why the video worst off than n70.
how good is the sound of the mp3 (through the speaker and headset)????
Nice looking phone, good features but will struggle to fit it in pocket. Just a bit too thick !
This phone is already for sale on o2. I saw it in my local o2 store today !
hey guys, i need your help on this one... N80 just got released here in the philippines but i'm having second thoughts about buying it at this time coz i heard that phones are riddled with bugs the first time they come out... I need your reactions on this... do i wait for a few months till the bugs get sorted out? thanks!
I'vee been using a P910 for a year (which is the model b4 P990).. It's just too big for everyday use and I find having to use the stylus for many tasks is more time consuiming than pressing a few buttons. Thats goes for gaming aswell. So unless you need advanced PDA functions go for N80.
PS: P990 is going to be a great phone but it's still too big and heavy.
the slider on my n80 works fine
Does anyone know how stable the slider is on this phone? I was trying the 6270 at a store earlier today, and the top just broke off. Is that a typical problem for sliders? Will that be a problem for this phone? I was actually all set to buy this phone until that happened, which made me think twice.

Oh btw the stainless steel version is more expensive - but purely based on popularity causing retailers to jack up the price...
