okay for neeeeeks like m9f6 who keep complaining about the thickness of the n80...
this photo shows the n80 compared to the thinnest phone out there - motorola razr. It doesn't look a lot thicker.
here it is compared to some other phones for thickness:
it doesn't appear to be thicker than the average phone :)
To all those neeeeks like m9f6 who are complaining about camera quality of n80... can you complain about these??
well they will be good enough for most, you might as well buy a digital camera if you're looking for higher quality than that.. or a camera phone with a carl zeiss lens. The people who buy this phone won't be buying it for the camera.. they'll be buying it because of the huge amout of features it has.
Oh, and heres a small video of the n80 playing a .3gp clip
one day m9f6 will realise that he's wrong and that everything he says is a load of shat and he'll stop posting here :d
pls any1 after reading cam review can tell me y is e screen display colour of k800i better than n80? it seems 2 me it's more rich n vivid in colour contrast n image sharper. how come? isn't n80's screen better than k800i?
@ SUS: 3.2 mp written in k800 is just a commercial technique the actual resolution in both n80 and k 800 is the same.Reead the review of the cameras
i think the N80 will be available in singapore in 2 to 3 weeks time cos just went to the nokia shop and they told me it will be available in early may
Still SE K800 easily beat any Nokia in pictures quality. And Motorola's E398 or ROKR phones have better sound. And almost any 3G phone has more than 3 h talk time. The best phone in the world? Not really.
hey everyone... i talked to a nokia representative in galleria, dallas and he told me that nokia n80 just passed all the fcc requirements and it's gonna be released soon. he, himself is waiting for n80. he also said that n70 will not be officially released and that n80 will availabe on www.mobileplanet.com before cingular, tmobile etc...
i do hope he's right!

[QUOTE]I am confused wasnt N80 suppose to retail at 620USD? why the price so high everywhere...[QUOTE]
Gouging the new product.
seem like m9F6 is a SE fan.
he keep on banishing N80 and promoting SE.
m9F6, you should post at the correct product (ie. SE) that you are promoting instead of saying bad thing here without any proof.
I am confused wasnt N80 suppose to retail at 620USD? why the price so high everywhere...
If you read carefully about what i have said about the N80, you might find it is all fact.
In other words, if you can live without Wi-Fi, then you may as well wait for the N73 or not bother upgrading at all since its not worth the money or the effort. (Which, at £600/$1000, under-par cam and WEDGE form-factor, it is'nt).
But then someone of your intellect would find it difficult to understand even the simplest of objective statements, regardless of their factual value.
Anyway, i'm not being pulled into another BORING, immature, long, drawn out and pontless slingin match with you. It's about as worthwhile as watching paint dry and even more f*cking boring.
Perhaps if only you were to find some friends, you might find there is more to life than wasting it, arguing like a 6-year old with a complete stranger on some geek-ass message board for mobile phones...
luv this [hone
it has empressed hundreds of ppl in my ofice
and im sure ul absolutly be impressed
the best cell phone in the market
Congrats on your N80.... Did you get it UK? if so where? -xx-
To see the N80, simply walk into your local Nokia shop. They will have a DUMMY phone that you can play with - its usually sitting on a presentation shelf on the wall. While the phone wont "switch on", it is basically the phone just without the electrical components inside of it, so it will give you and idea of size, materials, slider function, etc.
However, they might even have a working/real model in store, so just ask for a demonstration if they do have it in.
The phone has been "released" but is not widely available in the UK yet. Expect mass availability mid-May.
In terms of the SE, i would go into CPW/the Link/P4U, etc and simply say that you would like a DEMONSTRATION of the phone, but are NOT interested in buying it.
You say this cos remember phone salesmen are on commission and so will try and force-sell the phone to you/make you feel guilty if you leave the store without "buying".
If you say u want a demo, but are not interesteed in buyin, it gives a good excuse/terms to walk out of the store once you have finished playin around with it, without feeling d1cked over by the salesman.
Then go and look for a DECENT contract on-line cos most highstreet deals are sh!te.
hope this helps!
Im swayed towards to w810i because i find it nice on the eye but i don't know what its like as i havent played around with it and none of my friends have it. if i walk into a phone shop will they show me a demonstration for it? this will probably help me. i want to see the n80 for myself though aswell. when is it going to be available?
That would DEFINATELY be the SE, esp if you are looking for a native 'music' phone. The only reason that would sway buying this dirty hunk of lard would be if you desperately needed Wi-Fi, a crappy 3MP camera and a very, very high quality screen. (not to mention a very big bank account)
The SE will give better music playback (namely cos its a Walkman phone), its FAR cheaper if not FREE on contract (unlike the N-CHUNK), it has been out for a while and so is LESS likely to have firmware problems (so more reliable) + it has better battery life, which, lets face it, is kinda important if you want to listen to music quite a bit.
Oh and on the talk of SIZE between the N80 and SE W810, erm... There's no point even commenting.
