anybody got the phone number for nokia? i cant get through to the correct department to enquire about this phone.
I got through to somebody in the wrong department and she was a fked up cow, she said
"your not through to the correct department so hang up because your holding up the line"
If you're in Australia, there's a N80 selling on eBay:
What are you talking about truth teller? Have you even emailed vodafone yourself?
The carphonewarehouse.com site doesn't even have the N80 on it anymore. It's only got the N91 in the coming soon bit.
Those auction in eBaY is a trap. Is like 200-300 euro each phone(N70,N80,N90,N91...) and will get discount when purchase more units. This is all nonscense!! After you make the payment, phone will never arrived. Don't ever believe those conman in eBaY!
The phone comes between the 20th and 28th of April
Everybody hear this. The N80 has shipped to all European Mobile Phone Sellers and they have it in stock, and will be announced today 18th April or the latest tomorrow. The reason is that Nokia wants to publicly make available this phone to the mass together in all countries. Get your pocket ready though because this phone is expensive 400 Pounds.
Don't worry folks! I will come up with a wonderful and concrete news for you soon...
..Straight from the horses mouth!
the phone is just a week away from singapore market.
Please remember that Singapore market has always been one of the earliest in releasing phones as compared to EU markets.
IDA is currently testing the phones already.
Hope it will be of info to you.
People, It must be getting close - This link is to the Nokia Product Support page for the N80 on the Asia Pacific regional website. This usually means it's getting close.
At the very least, you can downoad the varouus guides, which will hopefully answer peoples questions on the phone, what it does, and how it works.
Hope that helps..
i saw in nokia asia-pacific website (http://www.nokia-asia.com/nokia/0,,82181,00.html?status=new) that this N80 phone is already under "New Release", not uder "Upcoming Model" anymore.
From 6280 experience, I suspect that the phone will not be out in the market until 1 or 2 months later, depend on network operator local testing.
I didn't ask Nokia Aust about price. I'm not a student of phone prices, but using my understanding of their other products as a guide, I think the N70 started at around $A800/900. The 8800 is still >$A1000 (I know it's not the same kind of product). The 9300/9500 are >$A1000. So I'm expecting the N80 to start out at around $1000. I just can't see it being much less. Particularly as it seems it'd be >600 Euros - that's about $A960
Just my thoughts.
$900 U.S ..so were talking at least $1000AU i cant say its really worth it. thanks heaps.
What do you guys think about the auctions going on now as we speak on ebay on the nokia n80? I see so many available and they're not out yet...
I agree with you. I like honest people like you. God Bless you!!!
Friends at least wake up now. Can't u tell the difference between the genuine and fake people?
People, Let's try to get some rational thinking going here....Firstly, all handsets have to be "tested" locally for network compatibility and compliance. So retail availability will probably vary from country to country.
After reading all the "opinions" here, I decided to ask Nokia Australia for dates. I asked them for the "availability of the N80, N91 & N92 IN AUSTRALIA" - so it will likely be different elsewhere. Their reply was......
The N80 and N91 should be in store by mid May.
The N92 is still in testing with the carriers and therefore will not be in the AU market until late 2006/early 2007. Hope this helps.
I then asked them for the "availability of the E60, E61 & E70 - IN AUSTRALIA". Their reply was.....
All three handsets should be in store @end May/start June.
This was the information from the local Product Manager back on April 3, 2006. It could have chanced by now - who knows.
I hope this helps.
Hey friends I am back. Thanks for all the thoughtful notes.Undoubtedly, noone wants to hear the truth these days.U've proved yet again. As I said earlier, "Truth is sour".
Did u guys notice that evryone is making false claims about the release date. Released today, rlsd tomorrow, rlsd day after blah blah blah...I sent a fax to Sumit Ralen who is the CTO of Nokia Finland and would update on the status as soon as I hear back.
Remember, character is not built in a crisis, it's only exhibited". Life without truthfulness and character is like a kiss without squeeze ;)So, stop fooling around and dare to tell and tolerate the truth.
