Nokia has released an official notise that a lot of phones had software problems. Because of a lot of testing and not to release unstable phones early. From today the n91 will Be release within a week and the e series will follow in the next two weeks incl the n80 which will come in about a month or so. see tweakers.net for more info in dutch tho (its a very reliable site)
wirelessimports.com really do have the n80 in stock, here is there email to me:
Yes, the N80 is $2499. It will ship out the very same day if you decide to purchase it.
Yahoooo its RELEASED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not. were u here that from? my local fone shop dealer said u can buy ti right now on contract form carfonewarehouse in the UK. i think he's wrong :(
N80 is clearer because resolution makes a much better difference than the amount of colours, since the N92 can only display a similar amount of colours at one time as the N80, the 16 million colours doesn't really make a lot of difference.
Wohoooo! Accordingly to a big mobile news magazine here in Sweden Nokia N-series is being released any time now!
Guys and N80 friends in Greece. I have just call a Nokia Store and confirmed me that they are waiting the Nokia N80 this week. They will call me as soon as they deliver the phones...... for the price the guy in the store wasn't so sure, he told me around 580€. Let's see.....
I emailed O2-UK and they told me they expect to release the n80 on Monday 29th May.
Nokia this is one hefty phone, it best ave good stuff on it to justify its size otherwise its a waste releasing it.

Software bugs postpone the release of six advanced mobile phones from Finnish giant.
April 3, 2006
Nokia said Monday that software problems had delayed the release of six models of its latest smartphones.
The company plans to begin shipping its N91 music phone this week, with the N71 and N80 phones beginning to ship later this month, according to Reuters. The N91 has a 4-gigabyte hard drive for holding thousands of songs.
The company had hoped to release the N91 by the end of last year, in time for the holiday shopping season, but then pushed back the scheduled release date to the first quarter. It’s a little late on that goal as well.
The company’s enterprise division is also late on its end-of-March shipment goal for its E60, E61, and E71 phones. As with the N-series phones, the Helsinki, Finland-based phone maker wants to make sure the software has been thoroughly tested. Priority will be given to the E61, which has a full keyboard.

here is the news directly from reuters. to get this info urself type keyword "nokia smartphones" in the search bar at www.reuters.com. here is the snippets copied from reuters:
"Helsinki (Reuters) - The world's largest handset maker Nokia said on Monday six of its new smartphones missed their planned first quarter shipping deadlines as it works to sort out their software.
Company officials said the models -- three of its multimedia N-series handsets and three E-series phones aimed at business users -- would start shipping to customers in the near future.
The company's premium music phone, the N91, will start shipping this week, Nokia Multimedia division spokesman Kari Tuutti said, adding that the N71 and N80 phones would start deliveries in the next two weeks or so.
Nokia had originally planned to have the N91 in the shops in time for Christmas last year, but said in September it was delaying shipments until the first quarter of 2006 while it worked on some software problems.
The phone's 4-gigabyte hard drive stores up to 3,000 songs.
"Because the devices are pocketable computers, we need to make sure of the software," Tuutti said."
so there it is people the reason why we are eagerly waiting for these phones. but if u ask me, i quite agree that they should make sure the phones are as bugfree as possible so we dont end up buying a buggy phone and blaming nokia.
