Actually it uses UDP for the transport layer via multi, broad or unicast so I guess it should be UDP/IP ;)
UDP, TCP's poor cousin nobody mentions at the wedding.

rofl P860 is like a bullcrap phone! Only thing good about it is the 5mpx camera!! But I can get a 10 mpx digital camera if I want to take professional quality photos!! lol!! how stupid! n80 is sooooo much better!!! p860 doesn't even have a html browser or wlan or upnp or like half of the stuff the n80 has... n80 is WAY better!!
regardless i still want an n80 so obvious that whatever people say then it will isnt gonna make a blind bit of difference.
Reason I always go for Nokias is quality, I have a d600 and a w800i and bot caused me so much stress with problems they ended up on e-bay.
D600 had problems sync with a pc and the w800i well let me just say im glad to see the back of this bug loaded phone!.
Ive got a nokia 6280 at the mo on three and will get a n80 to replace my 6630 when it comes out.
Stp dissing this phone it obviously is quite a crowd puller and look at the ratings.
Jeez i hate fanboys there everywhere @mines better than yours!" P*ss off
Smart Phones like these are just "Wannabees" according to the PDA sector...
& By the way the Best "All-In-One" smart phone is the Sony-Ericsson P990...
It has more features, a better build, better ergonomics, better screen (with touch screen& most importantly Better Battery Life.It only losses out with it's camera...
According to Symplification.com (a leading tech website)...E70 is the "Bees-knees" of Phones...translation = it is the best smart phone not N80 i'm sorry.
By the way Samsung P860 has a 5Mp camera & autofocus...N80 doesn't even have simple autofocus.
Softpedia.com poll states that the Samsung P860 is the highest rated phone...N80 isn't even in the top 5...
It would be the best ALL-IN-ONE phone ever...
It has more than EVERYTHING...Nokia must get the credit for that amazing phone...I have been waiting for it since the time it announced...I have 6230i and my first thought was to buy N70 but nokia's announcement of N80 drew me back... ;-)
Your viewpoint in comparing two things is logically limited. You only compare camera and display features without considering other capabilities. Indeed, N80 can't compete samsung p860 in terms of imaging features; however, the display offered by N80 is much better in term of resolution per area. I have to say that it has one of the best high-definition displays ever offered by a mass-market mobile handsets. Please bear in mind that N80 is really not a true imaging phone even if it boasts 3 megapixel camera. It only responds to the fierce megapixel race, at least struggling to stand out. As Nokia said, N80 is the company's most advanced all-in-one device to date. Apart from imaging and display features, N80 delivers the richest connectivity over implemented to a phone--Quadband GSM+UMTS, EDGE, GPRS, WLAN b/g with UPnP, Bluetooth, infrared and data cable. Want something more? It is a smartphone based on series60 3rd edition, new web browser is also pre-installed.
cant find this p860, but i wouldnt say it is superior its not all about specs you know.
Quality of build, pictures os, The n80 has wi fi and a 3mp camera which is more than enough for most people.
the higher the megapixel dosen't mean better photo quality in the slightest.
there is top of the range 3.2mp digital cameras that take much higher quality photos than some of the 8 mp generic models! dont be misled by specs
Samsung P860: TFD (anti-reflective)screen with 16 million colors
Nokia N80: TFT (reflective)screen with only 256k colors
Again...Samsung is much superior
Samsung is always ahead-Nokia always behind
Official: Samsung P860 to be released in Europe in the 1st week of April.
Camera: Samsung P860 = 5 Mp with Autofocus
Sharp 904 = 3.2 Mp with Autofocus
Nokia N80 = 3Mp with No Autofocus &
Poor battery life.
Cost: Samsung P860 = $799
Nokia N80 = $799
That Japanese guy is fake, man. I can tell. If a person is regularly reading Japanese cell phone trend, then it is easy to tell Nokia is NOT going to put this phone into Japanese market prior to any market. I think that wannabe Jap is just some guy up to "something."
btw.....I have been waiting this phone for 3 months..........Dont dissapoint me, Nokia!
Damn, $686.88 USD. hey, how could you get the Vodafone N80 for free?
Looks just like my N70 but a slider instead. bad thing about n70, i kept hit the buttons by accident and it calls my friend by itself. what's the price in usd? thanks.
here's the real price and date of the release of N80.. Its from GSM arena's N80 first look.. "Nokia N80 is a brilliant smartphone. It is small enough, has attractive design (especially the dark version) and many features. It is expected to hit the market in March next year at the approximate price of 570 euros." but it has been delayed to 1st week of april.. This is the confirmed date of release and the confirmed price..
it'll come out somewhere else before vodafone get it on april 20th... hopefully end of march/beginning of april.
a friend of mine works in the carphone warehouse and the bad news for the yanks is that it wont be released in the US until AFTER july, hahaha, thats the benefit of nokia being european. i cant wait for my N80, btw, people saying it will cost this and that on top of an upgrade are lying, dont believe them, i have ordered mine and am getting it free on vodafone, i threatened to take my number and money elsewhere and they wised up and gave it to me for free. i cant wait
