I think u cant change the covers coz when consider the slider it doesnt have the spring in it . So it logically makes no sense that we can easily remove the covers as it the slider would be locked which can be removed only by a professional ..... This i purely my own opinion ....But there is are increased possibility that u can change the cover but will take time coz the black colour is in demand. Even in N70 it doesnt have the chance of changing covers ..... But like u know nothing is impossible.... So time is wat matters now , by then we might get another good Shot from nokia Nseries.!!!!!
I dont think the sound will be louder in N80 coz the recent Nseries phones N90 and N70 doesnt show any difference in loudness when compared to 6630 or 6681. May be the stereo speakers might make a shrilling effect while listening to songs But NO MAJOR DIFFENCE...... but lets wait and see.....
What about changing covers??? can we change the front and rear covers ???????
Kal and others, answer me if you know.....
Yeah Budy slider rules. The keypad is not there if you don't need it and it is there if you do :-)
..and @ that unknown person who doesnt like it to slide...
first of all Slider gives you plenty of space to have a larger screen and still keep it under 100mm.
And last but not the least there are people like me who doesn't like to lock-unlock their phone every now and then.
So slider is perfect.
True..black verson is too shinny. It would look much much better with a matt finish like what samsung is using these days. But well you cant get everything.
The width has to be like 50mm or so..man you can browse full color html here. Then again its almost close to a credit card size. If you like something smaller..try some other models. There are plenty.
Oh the black version looks so hot - but the chrome navi button makes it look like a 99c shop toy! They should have used brushed metal or at least not make it so shiny and plastic like!
Everything is perfect except for its dimensions: 50mm width and 134g - YUCK!
I think N80 will take a while to launch in India coz in the nokia offcial website itself doesnt show any up N80 in the upcoming models so it ideally means that it will take atleast 3 months more it get it advertised first and then will get launched so will take 3-6 months to my knowledge
top phone looks kewl next to credit card on advert picture
I like nokia for how easy they are to use but have neva had a s60 phone before, does anyone no of any sites/direct links which will show me what the different level screens will look like starting with the standby screen.
Ive got a sony s700i at the moment so use to thick sized phones
can the n80 edit themes like the sony or will it just be background colours and can you have screen savers on it?
i currently bluetooth my mp3's to my s700i what will be the best way with the n80 and how long wud an average 3min 192kbps song take?
Thanx if any of these questions cud be answered
this phone has the best 3.0mpx camera, the best OS, the best screen out there (no other fone has this high res), it has UPnP (the worlds first mobile with this technology) it has WLAN/WiFi, it has visual FM radio, it has evryfin a phone needs!! plus you can watch TV on it over vodafone live because it has 3G even though it doesn't have dvb-h like the n92. It is waayy better than the 6280 or 6282 and it's better than the n70 and the n91 and the n92. Best phone there is.
the specs for the 6282 for the usa are much better than the specs given for it on this site, http://www.nokiausa.com/phones/6282/0,7747,feat:1,00.html
and if the phone has removable memory who cares what is has built in?
the amount that the N80 is better than the 6282 is definately going to be reflected in the prices of the phones.
I've used the 7650,6600, 6680, N70. The features of the N80 is the best I've seen so far. I think this it the best phone Nokia has ever offered the public. This phone can boast of the functionalities of all the S60 nokia phone. With a 3MP camera, u don't even need to buy any digital camera for your picture collections.
This phone is totally out of this world. I will discribe this phone with two words; magnificently wow...
The North American Cingular version got FCC approval. The test device (Nokia N80-3) was a five band (GSM850/900/1800/1900 and WCDMA1900) with Cingular logo on it.
Check the lnik:
Why some people comparing this with Sharp 904. Thats just a 3G phone with high-end display.
N80 is THE ONLY one which comes with 3G,EDGE,WiFi,Symbian,3.2mp cam and usual 352 x 416 pixels display. There is no competetor.
I do believe that this phone will be avaliable for CINGULAR network. If you take a look at the link, you'll see the cingular brand on the media button of the phone! I can't say that i'm excited...That means everyone will be getting the phone :( I guess we'll just have to see. Take a look!!http://www.nokiausa.com/phones/N80/0,7747,feat:1,00.html
