Nokia should seriously consider incorporating stronger and higher mAh batteries such as the Li-Ion 1150 mAh BL-6C (nokia E70) or Li-Ion 1660 mAh (Panasonic SA-Series) battery!
These can last up to 7h - 16h of 'talk time'. Especially if they "might" increase Processor Speed.
It's the N80's main downfall really along with many other models, and my only hopes is that for nokia to come out with a stronger batter after its' release date for us to buy extra maybe. I know it is extra money spent, but i would go for it for sure.
For now, 3h might be good, but let see how long the battery will last 4-6 month down the line of using it! But then again, i got laptop, car and home charger lol.
And I agree with Lami. He is right. If you CAN, but originally from the manufacture. Its better. Thats my opinion.
after research of n80, I'm going to wait n80 for sure and start savings money for this phone. I wish this phone will be the last phone at least for another 2 years. lol...
Why I change to n80?
1. The display for n80 is much better than n91... , n80 352*416 pixels, means twice than n91 one.
2. Camera, 3mp(with internal camera), I think it should be good than n91, 2mp, its great for video and photo.
I think these main features made me choose n80. Even n80 only can expand to 2GB. Which I think its enough for audio and video.
What now is hope the phone release soon. If everyone has a news please post here and if u can with the source as well. Thanks.
Sorry to intrude like this, but why do you guys sit and wait for your 3rd party cell phone providers to get the phone and whether they will get them at all or not!
Just go get the original damn cell with it's original OEM software from let it be SE, Moto, Nokia or whatever brand it is! I dunno how hard it is for some, but i am sure if Orange or whatever doesn't sell the N80 and you really want it, you can get it somehow!
I've been with Fido (owned by Rogers now) for over 8 years now, since 1998, and i have never ever bought one single cell from them ever! Always original (OEM) from manufacturer! Even if i have to wait after it had come out with Fido..
I dunno, just my 2 cent on this concern.
Just hope Nokia don"t do the same with the N80 an release it on the "3" network just to see if its got any Software or Firewall problems, they did that with the 6280 an its still not released yet on the other networks so Nokia check it out fully before you release the N80 PLEASE !
N91 has 4gb inbuilt memory no additional memory slots and a 2MP camera but a very good music system.
N80 has 40MB inbuilt memory and 128MB hotswap memory card, 3MP camera UPNP technology. any way you are going to hear music in head phone so there wont be much difference.
wait and go for N80...It has macro mode too..
This is just a good 'smart phone' and can never be as same as PDA phones . The functions are great but not beyond PDA phones. Sonyericsson P990 is the best example for PDA phone type.
guess what, just found out that the N91 is also expected 1st quarter of this year, should be this month along with the N80. And the N92 is expected in the second quarter!
This is not official though, it is specutlation i assume.
*EDIT* to my post earlier!
I meant to say the N92 not the N91.
I have no idea when the N91 will be out, i just didn;t look into it as i wasn;t personally interested int he N91 lol.. If i know i'll let you know!
Sorry for the error there..
N80 should be released as official as i could get my eyes at on the 1st querter of 2006 which makes this month of March the last month of the first quarter.
The N91 has been said to be released later on thsi year, when i have no clue.
As to the price of the N80, it is said to go for about ~U$500 give and take, no solid answer to that though.
Thanks Lami for the information.
I wish n80 has 3.5 mm audio output jack like n91. This phone will be great. And more internal memory... he3...
Lami, do u know when this will be release? anyway, im in melbourne, australia.
I have read it in ... should release in this year, and definitely after n91, but there is no real information.
Check this out, maybe it will let your mind swirl towards the N80 lol.
can anyone give any comparison between n91 and n80? I'm confuse whether to choose n91 or n80.
To add, I will buy this phone if it is out in Canada....Please nokia. Be quick. I have been enchanted by many phones, but i am still waiting for you.....Please Nokia, quick.....
very nice phone very easy to use its the best nokia out there ive had this for few weeks now and i love it just a shame it dosnt have DVB-H but other than that... you cant go wrong with this one
guess that's like comparing a lion to a cheetah......wonder which one'll go hungry
This is way too funny! I don't see why people on here and on the K790 & K800 threads are having a war between the N80 and the SE new K-Series.
First of, each one is superior in it's own fasion. K800 in multimedia and N80 in coommunications. N80 has great multimedia functions and so does the K800 in communication.
The delegation towards this balance depends on the individuals priorities, and not what makes this or that a better phone! I am a nokia fan, but i also held SE and currently hold a Moto handset! That's not the point here.
SE are great phones in my opinion. Not even the biggest nokia fan can deney that fact. They are just not the same market target! You guys wana bash and flood the threads with pethetic Nokia vs. SE, do it somewhere else.
Facts are facts, read and you'll simply see. You can not compare the N80 with the K800 or vise-versa. Not that one is better than the other as a whole, they are just DIFFERENT markets for each!
Just like saying BMW is better than Merc! One is class and luxury, the other is sport and features!
It's not rocket science you know!
to all my homies that realize that the n80 got game
all the punks biggin' up k800
if u know ur cell fones, got money
'n a brain
pop a triple 9 on the side
SE is doing what you call niche marketing. they have several different kinds of phones and they vary widly in features (as opposed to, say, motorola phones, many of which are exactly the same besides the outside appearance) but no phone has EVERY feature. this is a step towards the future, where phones will be modularized, and you will be able to mix and match accessories around a central core. but since this is a ways off, I'm sticking with the phone that has everything: the N80.
