This phone considering the specs is just too good. not to mention its design. The thing is how long wil you have to wait for it. It says 1st qtr, but nokia never releases on time from my experience... anyone knows when it might be expected to hit the market... I have been using Nokia for ages and was thinking of shifting to W900i.. as its specs was good. But N80 has me doubting now... but if its going to be released after march and with a heavy price tag i think i will go for w900i or N91. N91 is too bulky thts why i want to stay off.
i agree, 176 x 144 with 30 fps video res is not worth it cuz it will look very small when you watch in PC or TV. 352 x 288 with 15 fps is definitely the better choice!
I hope what you say is true but i doubt it. They already have released their specs for the fone. Maybe for N81.
oh my god
hot swip is to take out the mem card from the side so u dont have to remove the battary and restart phone
yes this phone does have one
if u use anything music as 6630 6680 6681 N70 N90 all have Hotswap it it the memory card is inserted in the side of the phone
u cant compare pics yet
its like N90 - N70
the N70 cam sucks reallllllllllly bad
and its a 2 MP pix cam
as the N90 is 2 mega but amazingggg
now the N80 cam should be little better than N90 but not too much just a little
im pretty sure it got Auto Focus
and i also think it has got hot swip for the Cards...
other wise its a Sliding N70
no *3370# will not work on this phone
in the specifications...under memory...it doesnt say that the hot swap is included....will it be included if you purchase this phone when it's out?
i understand now what you mean now, i was just saying if u had 2 options and they were to choose between a video with 30fps and a resolution of 176 x 144 or a video with 15fps with a resolution of 352 x 288 which would u choose? id rather have more pixels than more frames per second but if 30fps with 352 x 288 pixels was given together in a phone which hasnt happened yet then that would be the best but right now nokia are giving 352 x 288 pixel resolution on their videos with 15fps and sony ericsson are giving a resolution of 176 x 144 pixels with 30fps, so if i wanted a phone for video id rather buy a nokia phone but anyway i understand your point
btw i spoke to some nokia Executives.. yeah they just work there but they say that autofocus will be there.. and the video stabilisation is also gonna be there.. plus its a CIF video at 30fps!!!
3MP for a phone?!!! it's the same as my digicam already! It's phones like this one that makes me wish I have a camera phone. hope this will be available in the Philippines soon. The only latest we have (and with the highest MP for cams) are only 2MP in resolution.
never did i say that videos with 30 fps is better than videos with more pixels. what u juz compared was 2 different video resolutions with different fps, that's completely a different story. what i meant was d more fps a video has with same resolutions, the smoother and better the video will be. how about comparing 2 videos each with 352 x 288 pixels but one has 15 fps & d other one has 30 fps. then u'll know wat am i trying to say to Benson. peace out :)
heres a solution for the battery problem:
Nokia instrument comes with a
To activate, press the keys *3370# Your cell will restart with this
reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve
will get charged when u charge your cell next time.
however i tried usind it on Nokia series 60 handsets but it didnt worked but it works well on other or a bit older nokia handsets. Hope it works for N80 as well.
When u compared the n80 and the n90 u only compared the camera functionz in them. Camera isn't everything. The n90 is HUGE!!!!! its an inconviniece t0 carry and it doesn"t look that good. Im not saying its a bad phone but it has its disadvantages. the n80 has a pretty good camera, good size, goood looks, and pretty good features over all.
if it has wifi that means i can connect to the enternet and browse if i hav a wireless modeom rite?
if you click on the n80s picture it gives you more photos of the n80. it shows the n80 in the color black and the color silver. Which one do u guyz think looks better? let me know
viperkid actually you are wrong, 30 frames per second is not better than the more pixels the video has, eg. a video with 176 x 144 pixels with 30 frames per second will not be better than a video with 352 x 288 pixels with 15 frames per second, the more pixels the video has the more clearer and smoother it will be like the N90's video which has only 15 fps but records in mp4 format which is 352 x 288 pixels
it means Frames Per Second. usually 15 or 30 fps in video. the higher fps the better and smoother the video will look!
