It depends on your preferences. What kind of phone are you looking for? Here's a quick round-up:
Nokia N81 - latest Symbian OS; music & games; 3.5mm jack; WiFi; 8GB (depends on the variant); BEST sound quality bar none (except N91)
Nokia 5610 - 3.2MP cam ; decent sound quality; Nokia S40 OS (less applications, but faster than Symbian); video at VGA resolution
SE W850i - Great 2MP cam; decent sound quality
WARNING: take good care when you buy this phone or you'll be dissapointed at the end like me and this phone is not that good like my N95i
something along those line's :) lol. they were R281 hey... i wonder if i shouldnt have got the headphone's instead.. of the earphone's oh well.. they still rock:-) just make your encoding is nothing less than 192kb's and the music come's alive
i just got this phone for about a month now(n81 with the sd slot it comes with 2gig but o well its expandable hehehe). lemme tell you guys this phone is the BOMB!First of all the speakers are amazing totally amazing!you can use any headset to listen to your songs and second thing i like about this phone is the camera its 2mp but damn the picture/video quality is GREAT! and the 3rd thing that i like about this phone is the WIFI, i live in toronto and man hotspots everywhere =) pretty much browse anything. the weight was a con at first but i got used to it but other than that total props to this phone. im still playing around with it and yea i pretty much just download free ngage games off the web =) so i dont get bored. i know im leaving my comment short i gtg to class =)
Shweet man :-) yep same here, i can't stand carrying more than one device, feels better to have an all-in-one phone, this will sound so much better than an i-Pod with your new headphones, how much were they? Not sure how to spell the name lol,is it Senhieser?
i think i have finally made up my mind:) i think im going to go for the n81 8gb. i prefer having everything in one.. instead of the e51+ipod route....
I totaly agree with you bro, they should.
Ive been looking at the pics of this phone here on GSMArena and its shocking how different it looks when you actualy have it in your hand,it actualy looks so sleek and stylish when you have it but the pics here are making it look thick and a bit ugly lol!
i think gsmarena should do a headphone/earphone.. test..... i mean.. with all the multi media.. devices out now... it would be really really appreciated...hope one of gsmarena team.. see's this message.
the n81's sound is pretty damn decent... ha ha!!... the only thing that puts me off.. this phone is that keypad. guess i'll just have to try it out for myself.....
Get a Nokia N81, if you don't really care much about the camera. It has the BEST sound quality and a good gaming device.
You can plug in custom headphones (I recommend Sennheiser, Bose, Bang & Olufsen, or Etymotic) and also on custom speakers w/ 3.5mm plug. I used to hook it up on my Yamaha YSP-4000 DSP (Home Theater in a Box) and the sound is magnificient! I'm gonna miss it
Get over it, SE sound ain't as good as N81 and N91, FULLSTOP.
You don't care about camera? Get N81, its still great for gaming, especialy since it has dedicated gaming buttons.
wen r the n age games gonna come out?? are they even coming out or not.. nokia s been telling that since wen the games are gonna come out?? any idea ppl?
nokia n96 liken n81 this no good ,,,,-gsmarena help i am phones planner and designer ,my dream go to the company do for nothing, nokia i am loves ,special nokia company
thanx for that comment (and thanx for confusing me even more in my decision making process on what phone to get)lol
can u tell me 1 more thing then. as im not interested in the camera on a phone as i have a brilliant digital camera, i am looking for a mobile with 2 essential must haves. 1. top quality music player and 2. good for gaming.
n81 seems to be good for the music and n95 for the gaming. which one should i go for?
Take extra care when you decide to purchase a N81. Or you might end up like me. lol
Tsepz has pretty much said it all. The new N-Gage platform does not utilize the 3D acceleration graphics (as proven by N73 & N81). However, when I compared my previous N81 8GB against my N95 8GB, the 3D acceleration does have a significant effect on gaming experience. 3D graphics on N95/N95 8GB are more detailed and texturized.
only thing is make me fear is plastic body... :( and i drope my phone 9-10 (may be more) in a day lol....
but sound n gaming experiance is great.. used my frnd's n81 8gb few hours :D
