I'm happy with the battery life of N82. When I use it for texting and occasional browsing, it gets me through 2 days. Gaming and taking pictures are what depletes the battery a lot faster than web browsing. From a full charge, it will only last 4 hours when used for Ngage gaming. I think the processor is having a very heavy duty in Ngage gaming. Standby time, though I haven't tested it a lot, seems to be long also. From 1 bar left, it takes about 2 to 3 hours for the battery to be totally empty. Btw, I'm using a new battery.
Same here... Version 31's battery life is somewhat worse than the v.30. With v.30, I easily get 2 days even though I use it extensively. With v.31, I hardly get a day with the same usage as with v.30.
subho, 11 Jul 2009i donot see any white spotHack ur phone's screen brightness and you will see that there is/are small white dot(s) on the screen. You won't see it with the normal screen brightness of N82. I don't know if it's a dust particle that got inside the screen or a dead pixel. When I hacked my phone screen brightness, I was able to see that very tiny white dot on the screen that I couldn't see before when the screen brightness was normal. I can't believe N82's screen can be this bright. I mean it's so bright. Colors are so vibrant and pictures look so sharp when the screen brightness is hacked. It's "close" to OLED screen. No exaggeration.
for those who are complaining about the battery life, learn how to use your phone
do not let wifi scan on or bluetooth, if youre use GSM only do not let the 3G option on, use low light on the screen and dark themes.
if you play ngage for hours + take dozens of pictures with xenon flash + use hours of wifi and 3G always on and still complain that the battery life is less than 2 days, buy a dumb phone to match your thoughts.
Please tell me how to hack my phone. Give me full instructions & easiest way to do it......
renu, 11 Jul 2009Please tel me how to install N-Gage games to my phone from PC. I download games from free site... moreYou need to hack your phone to be able to install cracked Ngage games. I've hacked my phone and even hacked the screen brightness. My phone's screen is so bright now. Watching videos and pictures on N82's hacked screen is really fantastic. Images are so sharp and colors are vibrant. It's really worth hacking your phone.
Please tel me how to install N-Gage games to my phone from PC. I download games from free sites & try to install. After few minutes it says corrupt file. Please give me complete information about installation.
mohamed, 11 Jul 2009the N82 is really great phone but only problem with it is the battery life :( So is there any... moreyes, that's true i'm afraid. One of the cons of N82 is the battery life. If you have firmware v31 then i'm afraid all you can do is to adjust power settings. But you wont't get it to last more than 2 days max:( My N958gb has a much bigger screen and gets me through 3 or 4 days, while N82 doesn't last 2 even if i don't use the camera. If i do some heavy shooting, then it's down to a day. It sucks, but obviously it's because it's packed with features in a small housing. Regards!
Hello to everybody. I want you to do me a very simple favor. Pls take a picture using your front camera. Cover the camera lens with your thumb and then press the joystick to capture the black image. Go to your gallery and open the image you've just captured. Zoom that image to fill the entire screen with the black image. Pls observe the screen of your phone if you can see a very tiny white dot. Pls do it and tell me what you've observed. Thanks.
is there any free software to record Fm radio... i mean free fm recorder software and also the free voice call converter... that means when i talk as a male it seems like female.... anyone pls help me... and pls provide me the address.

Anonymous, 10 Jul 2009New Nokia N87 (The king of all phone) is coming soon! Here are some key features of this phone... moreYou want to merge a top-end digital camera with a top-end notebook. Plus, with a phone feature... LOL.
And then, you want it to fit in your pocket... LOL
waw..well its not bad if thats your ambition of a phone..hope nokia will grant your wish heheh
Anonymous, 10 Jul 2009New Nokia N87 (The king of all phone) is coming soon! Here are some key features of this phone... moreThose were pretty ambitious specifications for a phone. ROTFL! A rundown of obvious mistakes:
1. A xenon flash is IMPOSSIBLE to light up constantly to act as video light since it's only capable of producing light impulses due to high battery demand.
2. A dual Xenon flash is impossible for a mobile phone. Even digital cameras can't do it so why even expect it from a phone? And also, it might win a record as the most battery-thirsty phone ever made...due to its dual Xenon flash.
3. "100x Optical Zoom"! Lol. I wish you only listed 10x but 100x is just purely hilarious. Do you even know what you're saying? You might be carying a camera module as bulky as the Mount Everest. ROTFL!
4. Digital Natural Sound Engine. Lol. Again, do you know what exactly are you talking about? Digital Natural Sound Engine or DNSe is a "SAMSUNG" proprietary audio enhancement technology, so don't expect it to ever come to a Nokia. Read for more about DNSe : http://www.gsmarena.com/glossary.php3?term=dnse
5. FM Transmitter and TV transmitter for up to 2KM range each. Lol. Expect it to come with an antenna as tall and as thick as a lamp post.
6. Adobe Flash Lite 10. Lol. Flash Lite is currently at their latest version 3.1. Flash Lite version 10 is non-existent.
Those are what I know to be obvious self-deception in your post. But even then, thanks for some good enough wishful thinking! Hope Nokia reads your post and will develop those for their future phones(except probably for those that they are not allowed to develop, like DNSe for example).
