No rewind/fforward. Nokia is now using the standard 3.5 mm and there's not enough pins to accomodate other controls, unlike their past POP-port connector.

Among the Nokia phones which has DVD-quality (640x480px) video recording capability, which do you think has the best video quality? The N79, N85, N96, N97 and perhaps 5800 XpressMusic and 6220 Classic as well, all record video with pre-focussed on infinity. The N82, N95, N95 8GB, E90, N86 and perhaps the N93/i as well, record video with focus of around 2 metres. I've read from AAS. N86 video benefits also on its wide angle lens. But I'm talking about the quality of the recorded video. I'm pretty much satisfied with N82's video quality. The only niggle I think is the audio recording accompanying the video. N82's microphone is too sensitive that it picks up even the quietest sound which is kind of annoying.
Nokia N82 is 2 yrs old and it has OS 9.2 S60 rel 3.1. Now if I pdate its firmware, will I get same performance like OS 9.3-rel 3.5 ?? anyone can explain plz?????
fab, 02 Jul 2009Those who already have an N82 or N95 8GB should stick with their phones. These two are still t... morei think n86 camera much better than n82 though it lacks xenon but the variable apenture and more light sensitivity makes up for xenon.and with few firmware upgrade its image processing will improve.
Those who already have an N82 or N95 8GB should stick with their phones. These two are still the best Nokia phones even up to now. Those who upgrade to N79, N85, N96, N86 or N97 have more money than sense. These newer phones don't add anything new. The functions and features are still the same as the 2-year old N82 and N95 8GB.
stvn7, 01 Jul 2009I'm also thinking the same way. The only thing thats holding me back is that it has no xenon flash.I thinks it's not worth upgrading to N86. I don't like slider phones due to the mechanical durability. For me, a 5MP camera phone is enough, since I have a separate digicam for that purpose...
Only my opinion.
