Hi, anyone living in Malaysia? If yes, I would like to know the differences between original and AP N82. I have heard that the AP sets are original sets but they are imported from overseas. Some website says it is actually a recon set but how far is this statement true, I do not know. Please, can somebody help me clarify this issue? Thanks in advance.
the reason why nokia has stopped production of this phone.1.as far the rule of the electronic world goes whenever a new product is launched cost of older product has to go down same is with n82 since nokia has launched n79,5800,n85 upcoming n86 nokia has to decrease the price of older phones like n82.but the problem is that this phone is so high speced that by reducing its cost nokia will not make any profit.that the reason they are stopped producing this phone.2.and if they keep the price of this phone same to newer then everyone will by this phone becoz this one is better than newer nseries except n86
is it able to be charged with USB 2.0 port? in case you did not carry your normal chrager dock.
please nokia release another nseries or another series which has xenon flash n carl zeiss like n82 n 6220c..i like both feature so much..
Anonymous, 09 May 2009Hi Rudi & Rajawali, The price in Indonesia is only the reason why I am still not having N82... morein indonesia maybe the new mobile phone isn't produced anymore i didn't find the recent price (lebih gila kan* ->local language)..although the price is going down i'm very satisfied to own this mobile phone..
N82 in Europe is priced like a bargain. N82 in the Philippines is settled to 17k or 360 dollars. N82 is already 2 years old and its price doesn't seem to go down. N79 which is released in just 6 months time is priced as N82. I'm glad I went for N82. It's kinda old but in terms of functionalities it doesn't seem to be left behind. I feel that I have no reason to upgrade to another phone right now. Look. If only N82 could be upgraded to FP2 it will completely ruin the N79, N85, N96 line since N82 has much much better hardware than those phones and even better than 5800. The only outdated is the software.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Hi Rudi & Rajawali,
The price in Indonesia is only the reason why I am still not having N82 for almost 2 year...(IDR min. 4.1jt for the brand new and IDR 3-3.2jt for the second one..*gileee gak-->local language). In the UK, it will be around IDR 3.2jt/sale at GBP 200 for the brand new but unfortunately it is stopped in production.
Now N82 is getting older but it is still bit expensive here...:-((((
Anonymous, 09 May 2009this is the first time that i got satisfied with a phone's features.. specially the camera, so... moreYou have made the correct choice. Indeed, a lot of people go for the 5800 because of it's touchscreen capability but in terms of camera, the 5800 is just horrible. For photographer such as myself, the N82 is the best choice out there. The pictures produced by C905 is just horrible even with the xenon flash on. The Cyber-shot line phones produce unsaturated photos and the colours tend to be too dull. There is no substitute for N82 yet in terms of photography.
this is the first time that i got satisfied with a phone's features.. specially the camera, soooo gr8.. i've been using this as a substitute to my digicam. it made me save space in my bag coz i dont have to bring my cam everyday coz this one's got the best cam id had b4. well, its price is reasonable. ive got mine for 21k php. even though my cousin and some of my friends recomended me to take the touchscreen 5800 for having a lower price, i still chose dis 1. this one's got nearly perfection. only problem is the battery life.. but anyway, still the best fone that ive used.. i could say that dis is not a downgrade of my previous n95.
Anonymous, 08 May 2009Hi Rudi, I am Indonesian too. Just like to ask you (and anyone, please) some. 1. Is it wor... moreI had no problems at all with N82 keypad. They may look scary at first glance but actually they won't bite us. One thing that N82's advantage is the xenon flash. Anywhere and anytime we need to take pictures, trust me Nokia N82 can do it well.
Anonymous, 08 May 2009Hi Rudi, I am Indonesian too. Just like to ask you (and anyone, please) some. 1. Is it wor... moreHi there Anonymous! I'm sorry it takes long to answer your question. You were right when you said that N82 price is high, but I think the price is worth its value. N82's camera is considerably satisfying. About N82's video I have some tips: 1. Activate "Image Stabilizer" feature 2. Never use the "Night Mode" unless we have to. 3. When we want to copy our video clips (taken with N82), copy them to DVD format to maximize the picture quality. See you next time, my friend.
I have read a lot of comments and found that most of the users think that the N82 made in Finland performs better than the ones made by Nokia/China. That statement is a false statement. I repeat, a FALSE statement. The phone retailer said that all the N82, regardless of their place of production perform uniformly. There are no differences between them at all. He added on, saying that purchasing a phone also depends on luck. If you are unlucky, even if you purchase the Made In Finland N82, it will still be faulty. If you are lucky, then the N82 you purchase, be it from Nokia or China will be flawless.
the N82 is hands down still the best phone out there.
look at the specs, they speak for themselves. ive owned a lot of phones; the N82 is the best all-around multimedia phone ever created. to no exaggeration.
Anonymous, 08 May 2009Hi Rudi,
I am Indonesian too. Just like to ask you (and anyone, please) some.
1. Is it wor... moreHi, I'm Indonesian too.
My oppinion is N82 worth it to buy. i have bought it for almost 1.5 years. I didn't get any problem with my phone. I never feel satisfied with a phone before. But this is the only one that i really satisfy. Even Nokia released the new one like N79 ... It just a minor change. I ever compare N79 and N82 side by side. for the menu with a new transition maybe it looks cool, but for the function i just feel you can find anything you need at N82. The camera result quality N82 compare to N79 much much better, i took and show at the screen just like the original, N79 a bit yellowish.
Don't worry with the keypad. I feel comfortable with it. Maybe you feel strange at the firt time, but by the time you will like it. It just about 1/2 hour to make me feel ok with the keypad.
Trust me this is the best Nokia phone and stable software.
