Snatchers are all over waiting for an oppurtunity for a careless victim to pass by. And bragging ones phone in an open urban crowded area simply won't do in the Philippines because of snatchers. =)
To all n82 users: does anyone of you is using an 8gb or more memory card?
Great camera fone! Beats other camera fones even those with higher megapixels. I'll be waiting for n82's successor. I hope it has bigger screen with the same features especially the xenon. And still in candy bar form.

Babo, 07 Jan 2009Hi guys, now i am using n73me and want to buy a n82. But i heard that its battery is`nt good.... moreBattery life is great. Of course it depends on how many apps you are using at one time, but overall it is great. Had my phone over a year now, bought one of the first ones out. Love it!
My final post here.
Well i have received my Nokia N82 two(2) days now and well what can i say... it really a nice phone and the positive reviews and high ratings that it got, the N82 lives up to it. I am certainly not disappointed in the phone. The only thing i can say whats wrong right now is that its numbers and print on it like how you would see Nokia and Nokia N series written on the phone itself well thats gonna come off after a few months sliding in and out of your pocket. I dont know why Nokia dont laser engrave these things and put a protective coating on it like how sony ericsson did with the K850i. Well i must say i moved from the K850i which gave me a number of problems and i sent it to be repaired and when it comes back i am gonna sell it cuz i have replaced it with a very good phone the NOKIA N82. Oh i must say the camera is the best i have ever used!! its like a true digital camera! dont be fooled with all the features the K850i camera have because they have all that beacsue you have to do so much adjusting to get to the picture quality of the N82. the N82 is simply turn on and shoot a picture!! its absolutely fabulous. I am teenager and i am pleased with the phone as a multimedia device as well! if i encounter any problems with the phone i'll be sure to post.
I had this fone for 3mnths nw. Great nseries and also my 1st. Upgraded it to v30. Jst want to ask, does it really can use a 8gb or more memory card without affecting its performance or slowing dwn? Coz i wnt to buy 1. Appreciate it.

RBa, 07 Jan 2009Yes I am. And with regards to your question, well sorry I cannot provide detailed info on how ... moreyeow dude,
talking about GPS, im fun of using it specially when I travel, like if i'm on the plane, i got to track which islands i'm passing on below etc.. when it comes to city level thingy, i haven't use it yet, i believe its dangerous to navigate when your walking and wanting it to guide you to your destination because snatchers are all over, you might end up losing your phone c",
better be safe than sorry.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Yes I am. And with regards to your question, well sorry I cannot provide detailed info on how the GPS works perfectly because in all honesty, I have never used the GPS on the N82 (not even once). And I guess most Filipinos don't need GPS (well some use it though), thanks to the PUJ drivers and motorcycle operators here that are always ready to provide more than detailed information on how to get to a place that you wish to go (in fact, their information takes lesser time to comprehend than the GPS receiver which according to reviews takes roughly 50 secs to a minute or more). So why need GPS when you will never get lost inside the Philippines! Hehehe,.. But GPS is probably useful for people who love to do a round trip on other countries.
Anyway, sorry for taking you too long...
As far as I know about GPS, it only works when you are in an open area with no large obstructions and geographical disturbances that sorround you. It is because the GPS tries to locate GPS Satellites to find your current location.
Sorry if my knowledge about GPS is limited and anyone can correct me if I have mentioned something wrong with the abovementioned subjects.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Oh I almost forgot to mention that I saw a "Made in Hungary" Nokia 2626 here in a single store. But with N82, I have never seen any European makes (Made in Hungary and the likes).
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970It's really hard to find Made in Finland, Made in Hungary or any other European-made phones of Nokia here in the Philippines.
As far as I know, all that's left for us to choose from is either a "Made by Nokia" or a "Made in China" Nokia phone. The former doesn't come with a NTC Type Approval while the latter comes with a NTC Type Approval plus a 1 year Nokia Care Warranty Coverage from any Nokia Care point in the Philippines.
So we've got no choice but to stick with the "Made in China" Nokia phones and to try keeping a close eye on the bad record of China in terms of "quality" of their products. A pity indeed as China is the source of the mambo jumbo clones of the vast quantity of weird-looking touchscreen phones here.
But still, at least we've got a "Genuine" Nokia N82. And our task is to take extra care for it - at least that's the impression of the Filipinos as soon as they see a "Made in China" mark. But in the end, it still depends on the user's handling on the phone.
