Does this particularly mean that the N82's 5 Megapixel Camera produces more detailed pics than the 8 Megapixel Camera of the Samsung i8510 Innov8? More dots per inch are basically better right?
Anyway.. I was really amazed about that. My N82 black captures really crystal clear and crisp images. Definitely hard to find a worthy replacement.
And now here comes firmware v.30.0.019 that recently made miracles with the battery life (is it just only me? Or do anyone of you have the same experience on the v.30 firmware?). I have the v.30 for quite a while now.
And as for the people contemplating to buy the N82, just try to go along with this blog:
In that link that I have provided above, try to see the real life difference of the Xenon Flash performance of the N82 compared to single and dual LED flashes of the other devices tested. Contenders are Nokia N96 (with a dual LED flash), Nokia N95 (with a single LED flash), Nokia N85 (with a dual LED flash) and the Nokia N82 (with a Xenon flash).

after 7 mos of usage..
still i cant still think of any reason to change my N82 to other newly release phones out there coz its just simply superb....
n82 might not have the eye catchy looks but it was superloaded with features and hey it has a xenon flash for its camera a million light years better than led flash or even double of it....
so far my problem is the the key pad (right slection key to be specific) is peeling ...
to my fellow n82 users can we changed its housing or something? specially its key pad? i still want my n82 to look great...
hope someone can answer this
I would like to say that I happily returned to N82 after using the innov8 for 2 weeks. Innov = perfect pictures, but as a phone it is really bad: bad signal, weak battery, no internet automatic settings, in other words...samsung. I am A Nokia fan, I used only Nokia phones but I was curious to see how innov8 works! Big mistake! I will stick to Nokia FOREVER!!!!!!!!!! check this out: then82blog.com
I just like to tell everybody that I like this phone very much. I have been using it for almost 6 months now and it have never failed me. Its very solid, I drop it many times already, never mind asking why I keeo on dropping it. I work in a construction company and I always look upon products that can stand with the thoughness of my work.
I would like to recommend this phone to anybody who doenst need fancy device but to anyone who just want a solid and sturdy phone they can relay on tough times.

perfect phone in sounds , camira ,operating system and so fast but weak battery
Recently I had some problem with my N82. The phone got restarted automatically and I didn't know why. Then I removed all the third party apps from my phone (e.g. Y! GO 3.0 BETA, Opera Mini 4.1, Themes, Windows Live Messenger, Kaspersky Anti-Virus, SmartMovie etc.) and the phone works great now!!! There's no problem of restarting and I have found out that if I'm not using the third party apps, the phone is OK. But I don't know what's the reason. Most of the apps were downloaded from MOSH though I faced difficulty with my N82 (Made in Finland.)
It'd be great to know if there are more experiences like mine.
I am planning to get a N95 8G or N82. Which is best? I will manly use it in the following order of priority 1) telephony 2) GPS 3) pics and music. Or could someone suggest something beter?

i just upgraded my software to V30.0.019. i went to nokia service centre and it was simply the best as it was free. browser is smoother and the auto rotate orientation is improved. speed is improved and less hangs. the new maps app is like the one in the new navigaror phone and its da best. if any problems, upgrade to the latest firmware version. :)
