I love my SE P1i and Nokia N82. Both these phones are excellent! I'm very satisfied with their features! No regrets!
If you can afford N82, it's a powerful multimedia device. I mean it doesn't look like one, but I can't think of any phone model outside Nokia portfolio that's even more powerful than this. But if you have extra pennies, I suggest you go for N95 8Gb. It's even more feature packed. The xenon flash isn't that much of a big deal. The important thing is it's got the best 5 megapixel camera in a phone today. And by the way, that is just one department which is the imaging. The N95 8Gb has got a lot more features than N82: larger, brighter screen, built in 8Gb memory, hardware music keys, better, louder speakers, infrared, and sexier look.
I'd choose the n95 8gb (even the n95-1) over the n82. The n95 variants is the true all-in-one device. N82 is Nokia's powerful cameraphone right now that has all extra features of N95. The thing is, I like the larger screen, dual slide form factor, music keys, of N95, even strongly emphasizing it as an all-in-one device. Plus the fact that N95 has got infrared even if it's virtually useless now is even more of an extra. It doesn't matter if N95 has no xenon flash, at least it's got flash. Plus the firmware update of the N95 is really enhancing the true capabilities of it. So my final verdict: N95 is the true all-in-one device based on the extras I've mentioned that aren't in the N82. On the other hand, N82 is a powerful cameraphone that has powerful features almost the same as N95. For me, I'd choose the larger screen, dual slide form factor, music keys, plus infrared over the candybar form factor and xenon flash.
thanks brother.by the way i have N95 8gb.not N82 take cares and njoy your SE
am not complaning about the auto focus. ofcourse in a pitch black room when it can focus the pic will def comes good. no doubt. but wht about those which it can't focus? did u take an unfocus pic? u'll see the difference. & here the infinitive focus comes very handy cause it has xenon flash!
& ofcourse the brightness. told before that not everywhere flash is needed when there r strong light in a room / hall. just take a pic in strong light selecting in which light u r under without flash & u'll see that the pic got more naturality. in this circumtances brightness / exposure compensation do the tricks. N78 & N96 pic will be good. u see nokia is giving these things in their upcoming sets. but they shld given these in N82.
i have this in black v20.0.062 chinese version, using in california under at&t, w/ 4gb card, uploaded maps, apps, themes, sis games, java games, lots of mp3 and video, no problems whatsoever, browsing under at&t 3g is super fast, for me a 9 out of 10.
What's the advantages of upgrading to v.20? Can i play mp4 with this version?
In most dedicated camcorders/cameras they have screens of 120,000 pixels or more. The qvga of 80% of most mobiles is 76800 pixels and thats why photos look better and crisper on the lcd screens of dedicated devices but why??,,i looked up specs of my dads cannon camcorder because the lifelikeness of photos at only 0.8 megapixel and wondered WHY? but the specs said 2 inch screen, 12 bit polysilicon 120,000 pixel lcd display so even the colours are only 4096 colour?? So it must be the pixel count,,we want more denser screens please not more colours...
update ur firmware to v20. if u stil not happy den get N95 8GB forget N95.
dont need brightness da xeon does da job. in pitch black in my room it will automacitly focus in wid da green box indication n da very bright orange light n den wen taken pics it nice and clear. :)
i have v20 firmware and i dont see point of infinitive focus or brightness. this phone has been awarded the best camera phone even widout infinivite focus and brightness and it even beats dat samsung phone one dat has got optical zoom 5 MEga pixel one in image caputinrg wise but in zoom wise it loses.
DONT DO IT MAN!!! NOKIA N95 ONLY HAVE 64 MB RAM!!!!!!!
are you insane????? maybe you have some firmware or software troubles...
i bought N82 1 month ago. it start having problem on the 3rd day. when i change the mode of camera the phone becomes stuck but it is now fine. but the phone now stuck very much and there is no load on the phone. it is not a good experince with N82. if it would be fault less i would love it now im planning to buy N95.
as a award winner for imaging why the n82 didn't have the most important brightness features & also infinitive focus features!?! these r very useful sp. at night like infinitive focus. it's impossible to take pic at night which it can't focus cause the pic comes blurry. if they give the infinitive focus then this will be very useful to take pic without focus which it can't focus! then the pic will comes perfect! SE's K850i have this features which is really great!
the brightness features is another thing that n82 didn't have. n78 have it which is good but why they didn't provide brightness in n82..?? the pic didn't comes that good without flash in the room under fluorescent light. not everywhere the flash is needed when u've a strong light in a hall/room. in this condition u can take the pic. just adjust the brightness & the pic comes out more naturally.
hope they'll provide this 2 important features (brightness & infinitive focus) in their next update. cause if they give then it'll be the perfect camera ph. which has a built-in very bright xenon flash!
I brought nokia n82 week ago. Its a perfect mobile with everything u need. but its speaker sound quality sucks. my previous nokia 6233 speaker sound quality 3 time better then nokia n82.
How im i telling lies about headset quality?
so ur telling me n91 isnt the best audio device ?
N91 has better audio loudness n deeper bass n much better quality over n81 n da rest of nseries den n81 has da next best audio quality.
read before u post summat again !
there is a phone which was only available for Japan which I was hoping that nokia could just create a design somewhat like that. its the SE W61S. kinda like its design and its color. also its specs was kinda cool though n82 was cooler. but i think nokia could be perfect if they could just make a phone like that. cheers! loving my nokia n82 :P
