To ALL nokia lovers...
Your all talking to good sound quality and good camera phones, you always compare nokia from other brand, but a phone is just a phone, phone is for calling and talking to other people and its good to add a text msgs.. and now all people want is to have a phone that has a good camera and sounds quality? Are GEEKS? Or just a wannabe?
if you want a good camera din buy a digital camera not a phone
if yon want a to hear good music then buy good set of audio player and speakers..
Nokia= features,features and design that make phone look like a phone
Samsung=design,design and good feature.
Motorola=Design and average feature.
SE= design that make phone look like REMOTE CONTROL and always stealing and copying ideas from Samsung and Moto.
comparing the sound of n82 to d n73...n73 sounds like 5X louder than d n82 with its stereo speakers...in using headset,it has d same quality...the difference with this 2 devices is the equalizer,n82 has a lot of khz volume(8 switches)...unlike n73 has only 5 switches..both have loudness control and stereo widening control...if you are looking for better sound quality take the n73...overall the n82 is for photo and video capturing..i've also compared the n82 with the sony 5mp digital camera..it has the same quality when you print both of their captured photo...in video capturing,n82 is better than the sony 5mp digital camera...
N82 can be bought at 18,500 pesos @ grinhills last 02/05. Checked it before pull out. They will reshuffle their stalls again. N95 8gig is @ 22,500 but its 2nd hand.
my phone is made in china but wtf everything is made in china these fing days now but still my n82 does just about the same as any n82 its made in china but the parts are still oem so i dont give a sh@t about china finland or wherever but fing latino land mexico ahh hell no they dont know how to make sh@t
STEVE J has a point about N82's keypad. that's one factor that keeping me from buying N82. hear that people?! meaning not all people who critizises N82(read:DESIGN), are people who just can't afford it.
Well I guess there are some times when a man just has to jump! So I will buy this device and try and try to accustom my thumbs to the awkward keypad. I think that Nokia should check the excesses of the fashionistas in their design department. I am willing to bet one thousand pounds sterling that if consumers were given the choice betwen a regular keypad and N82's, the majority would choose the former! The keypad is the antithesis of the N93 which had the best keypad Nokia ever made.
The FIRST real Nokia N82 Black Photos from Official Nokia Store:
What you think guys?

I have just managed to update my device with no issues. all applications still install and worry free!!!
There is an update available for N82 to version 11. However, Nokia are releasing device numbers for upgrade in certain batches. My device start with 0558*** and currently its up to 0554*** so dependent on the number. Your product may be available for a firmware upgrade. I don't know for sure and I may be wrong but this is what I have concluded.
can i know plz if there is any update for the N82 software available ?
appreciate ur feed back
Agree, Don. Back in 2006, K800 was the king of all cameraphones! For peeps not needing 5MP, K800 is now a bargain at under $250. Nokia simply took cameraphones to the next level n included N95's features to boot. I might get BlackJack II to take advantage of the discount n QWERTY, but will always keep my N82. It will go down as one of the all-time greats! Too practical to let go.
I would like to say congratulations to you all who have just purchased this device and are awaiting for the product. I hope it will give you as much pleasure as much as it to me. I have had this phone since end of November and its fantastic. For software go to mosh.nokia.com and do a search.
The N-series in nokia & K-series of sony ericsson are excellent branches of the most famous phones manufacturers, i've tried many of these & those & for me/ my opinions is that n82 is the king of N- series & k800i is the king of K- series
( i think it's stupid to have led flash in n95 & to have average quality camera of k850 compared to the great k800i)
well talkin about the keypads of the n82,well it is easy to press,it has a lot of space between each keys for texting, the main problem is the 4 way navy key,sometime when i'm pressing the center key i accidentally pressed the 4 way navy key,when deleting a letter or character when texting,pressing C sometimes you will accidentally pressed the media key then open the carousel media..the number keys are just fine,pressing much faster when texting...STEVE just get use to it..Nokia kicked SE's A$$ this time!!!
well,to compare the n82 to all previous nokia nseries…(just got n82)the n82 is the fastest mobile device ever comparing to the famous n95 and other devices specially when booting,browsing on the web,galleries,and other application it is 10X faster than the n95…in taking photo no blur images(STILL CAMERA).i have also tried taking photo to a electric fans Rotating blade and captured it perfectly still!!!and i’ve compared it to a SE k850 with it’s camera,the k850 has less color support which is a big help with the camera,it has 256k colors only…but n82 has 16.7 million colors,that was 65.2X more color than the poor k850…and check out it’s accelerometer speed..it is 3x faster than the k850…you will notice that the k850 has brighter lcd,only because of its brighter backlight…UMMMMM….but when it comes to battery life and better quality sound k850 has it..well thats no big deal…I’m using both devices..lol…N82 is the Best!!!!!!!
I had the chance to use one N82 today. I liked the look of it although I would have preferred it in black. The functions are numerous and I was pleased that they took camcording seriously giving us splendid VGA at 30fps.
The mistake Nokia have made is in the keypad. Fast texting is difficult because of the stingy thin keys and their lack of travel. If this is a fashion statement then it is misplaced in what is essentially a feature packed phone. I text alot and I do not know how I will cope with this terrible keypad. Nokia have shot themselves in the foot for no good reason! This fault will undermine sales just like SE P1i.
