Who cares about the functionality, when the battery life is terrible and you have to recharge this phone daily.
Who needs a 5 MP camera. I have a 8.1 MP Sony T100, which has better quality and is very compact.
Who cares about Wi-fi and GPS?
I have a Toshiba A205 laptop with better Wi-fi connections, a larger screen and I'm signed up for Google Earth Premium version!
Who cares about music? Read the review. The audio quality is incomparable with an MP3 player. That's why I have a Archos media player!
A phone was made for calling. Who cares about the functionality when the battery won;t even last a day when you are trying to use the phone's most basic function!
If anyone has any question about this phone, I have 3 words:
Horrific battery life.
Stop being shallow.....
If you buy things based on looks alone, then your going to be left empty handed and never have a mobile phone.
It's like where your want to date someone, are you going to base your needs just on their looks only, are you going to judge a book by its cover. Come on people, you'll grow to live a lonely depressive life if you judge everything based on looks only. Get out of your shallowness and you'll fall inlove with exactly what you want.
>hohoho!!!need a hand here bro...am not tryin to be a hero or somethin',most of 'em heroes btw ends up dead before they get to be canonized...heck....thanks.
>if ever an upgraded version of n82 would be released, it would focus most likely on software revision rather than the aesthetics.
a dedicated task manager that could be accessed thru the "today screen" that could terminate unwanted apps running in the bground is a knocker, though u already got a basic one by pressing the menu button for 2secs...better looking themes and customizability of display...pic editor, with image enhacing and semi photoshop skills,a more interactive GUI for the audio player...whatever peeps over at the RnD dept could come up with...
aesthetics/functionality : keypad can do some reworks but i've no major qualms about it,noise range and pink noise of its speakers needs upgrades as well, they could also place a cover chip for the micro usb slot. whacha think guys??
im tryin to talk with all the logic i could muster bro, im sorry if im really gropin' hard in here tryin to separate the subject and the predicate of your opinion. i guess you're far more complicated than i imagine u were...im a huge failure sir...boohoo...i ..cant...understand...u....(sob,sniff...)
uhmm..im afraid we share the same thoughts on its look, bro...yo RnD peeps...y'all here that...
this is a major prob for your unit bro...check if there was any changes u did on its settings...you can also set the phone to factory default if nothing changed...check the lenses/lcd for any impurities, make sure battery is full, make sure unit is far from any EMI-causing devices,if nothing helps..bring it over to nokia's care center for a serious check...
ho! that's what im talkin' about!!! Go Brother!!!
hahahaha! you really are a monstrous donkeykong with a badd Crusty Krabs attitude...ayt...for cryin' out loud, from now on...whatever that thing is in the middle of the front panel that so much resembles a D pad, call it a joy stick!!!!!
the joystick on n82 is horrible...it destroy the whole feeling
good features...good camera
horrbible joystick.....very bad battery.....bad keypad....plastic design
hello to evry1.. i am very new at this and was wondering if any1 could tell me if this is the sight to read on onest opinions of phones.. i ilove the specs on this handset its fantastic but i have neva used a nokia before and am worried if i will have problems. ppl say there easiest to use but i would like some help from ppl on ere plz.. as i have been lookin into it ans see tht ppl are very onest,, hope very1 as a lvly new yr..
I recently bought N82 Middle East version,
I noticed a severe victory fault in the camera.
A huge amount of green and pink noise filled the LCD and appeared in the token films and photos too.
Some times this noise disappear or decrease after a while of using camera.
Is this a software or a hardware issue?
Does anybody you have an advance information about this fault?
thanks again for all the insight. although i think you have your work cut out for you here as there seems to be no shortage of questions/comments aimed your way! anyway, nice to have good peeps maintaining some kind of order in this place. gsmarena deserves nothing less.
and happy new year to all the N82 owners out there! don't forget to use yours to snap some great shots for the holiday! cheers!
hey ppl just wondering,
Will nokia release an upgraded version of the N82 (like they did with the N95)????????
n82 cant shoot the moving oject perfectly, because doesnt have image stabilizer
if im starting talking about iphones disadvantage then perhaps it will take the entire day !!! other than display , sound quality & built in 8gb space it does not have even many basic functions that a ordinary cell fone can offer. bluetooth is only for headphone connection, no 3rd party software allowed, vary basic camera function( no flash...wow !!! ) & lack of vedeo capacity( other than the recent software updated version ).ohh not even mms !!! but the price tag...no comments about this.so please dont compare iphone wit lg viewty which is technologically far advance than iphone in many respect...try to talk wit logic bro.
Nokia N82 is a great phone with great features. In fact it is a N95 with a xenon flash, some new features and software updates.
Unfortunately it has a ugly look and it's a candybar. And I also think that the keys are uncomfortable to use. That's why I bought the N95 8GB and not the N82! :)
Happy newyear everybody!
No doubt, the N82 makes the best pictures in bad light conditionals. The Xenon-flash was a great idea and causes great pictures. The Kodak Z740 neither disappoints nor impressed me. The LED of the N95 8GB is in the correct distance good, but if it’s to close or to far away, are the pictures not good at all.
can anyone please tell me that, if A-GPS needs to comunicate with cellular network, i'm going to buy this phone but first i wanted to know about this feature, in fact my question is that, if we can use this function freely.
Here a huge test between the N82, N95 8GB and a Kodak.
Thanks for the reply man. I think i found my answer at http://symbianworld.wordpress....age -samples/
Well but these are minor issue which nokia is most likely to correct with their firmware updates.
Despite this minor issue, N82 is the best phone in the mobile market in so many ways.
(If it's not just a good camera phone you want) I highly recommend it over any other phone currently on the market.
hey firneds out there , can anyone tell me weather this mobile supports sdhc cards from 4-16 gb or not ??
If yes will this card will support 133x 8Gb Lexar SDHC Card ?
yo m' man..
yap, they offered the first ten units to lucky s.o.b.'s(hehehe,kiddin) for only 20k flat. but that i think is just a promo for the month and they only shipped ten units for that.units were sold out as fast as they were announced i think...you could also check the trail here...find Father Vince's post....
>nice one bro...sharing the same passion here...welcome to the club!!!
>duh...i dont exactly get your point dude...or was there any??lmao...
>try raising the level of your ringtone vol bro, that would help...though i must admit that the unit's ext speakers aren't that great...i use mine with the vibra set to on..that's gonna be a big help...
ma man...touch screen, if that's what you're referring to as tom's tech, has been in use since the advent of PDAs.to tell u frankly, only Iphone has gotten my nod when it comes to display resolution with touchscreen units, not to mention its responsiveness.
@rest of u guys...
are u gonna be serious in buying the opinions of peeps who cant even blurt out their mind in straight english??i mean, c'mon!!...i bet they cant even pick out which one's the subject and predicate of their sentences... and they talk about tomorrow's technology today?? lmao...my apologies to non-english speaking peeps...einstein and confucious didnt speak the language, but heck, they made their point entirely way before tomorrow's technology today....lmao... what's my point here??...speak ur mind in the language ur most comfty with and probably if and when we're interested,we'd check the internet for some interpreter software and decode your opinion. yeah, maybe we could ask nokia or SE,LG,Samsung to include a translation software in their units...lmao...now that's what i call - tomorrow's technology, today...
