I have been using n82 over 2 weeks now. It's great phone in many aspects, especially in it's build quality and speed compared to other N series phones.
But i am not at all satisfied with the picture quality in low light. The faces at the corners of the screen gets distorted in a group photo. is it because of the small lens used compared to my 3 year old olympus D560 digi cam which takes much better pictures in low light? Is it the same in n95??? i’m very unhappy with this unexpected surprise!!! Somebody please explain… Will they overcome this problem with new firmware??? At this state it definitely not a substitute for my old digi cam!
@fatherVince
Yup i did check it out in ATC also in Greenhills and it costs around 25k to 27k..
that makes me wonder why is that its very cheap in Cebu? I remember watching the news for smuggled phones.. hehehe.. just wondering ..
Any way i would not hesitate to buy those for a very cheap price.. really im jealous of the cebuano's .. i wish they branch near or in manila.. Cheers!!

Craig,
I had to download the Nokia maps from the Nokia website to get my GPS to work without it using A-GPS. Later I had to manually install the software on the phone. I also tried the navigation route feature BUT it cost extra so I only have a free 3 day trial. The phone connects with the Internet to process the free trial period. The voice navigation feature costs extra as well. I live in the US and bought the phone from Phonesource-USA WHICH came from Hong Kong...

Yes it's already available here in the philippines, 3 weeks ago here in cebu. Ten (10) people just got lucky here in cebu cause we purchased it for a very low low price. Junrex (SM branch) sold 10 units at an unbelievable promo price (Christmas Sale) for only Php19,290.00 (cash only). All units are brand new with 12 months warranty for parts and labor. Unbelievable!!! isn't it? other stores sell it for 25K plus (cash price).
Happy New Year!
@junkyskunky
dont need 2nd hand..
i want brand new..
^__^
N82 sold in Philippines are made in China. Does that mean their quality is not as good as those made in Finland?
did somebody just say joystick problem and dullscreen??? what part of nowhere u from dude??n82 aint got any joystick - u could be referring to the D pad, anyway, i stand 5'10 and got a huge thumb for one- never encountered any problem with it so far.
and the screen? what dull are u talkin about??you must be staring back at urself in the mirror dog --hehehe.try raisin' the sensitivity of the light sensor, it'll auto adjust ur screen's contrast and brightness in relation to the surrounding light to suit your stimpy eyesight.

Hi People,
Just a little question if someone can help me.
I got my Nokia N82 a couple of days ago and I'm still trying to work out the GPS. When I turn it on, it finds the satelite signals within seconds (it picks it up faster then the N95 & 6110 Navigator) and it finds my position where I am straight away. Now the only problem I am having is when I want to plan a route somewhere and I start to plan my trip and I go into search for address and it can never find the address. I know I'm entering in the details all correct so that shouldn't be an issue. Now I have had the N95 and the 6110 Navigator and I had no problems with the search in their GPS and they worked fine, I bought both the N95 & Navigator here in Australia (where I live), but I bought my N82 from Hong Kong (As the N82 ain't released here directly in Australia yet), now I'm not sure if this is the issue on why it's not finding anything in search but my thoughts that it wouldn't be the issue as it has all countries maps installed in it and in fact that it does find where my current location is and it can find all searches for the likes of the nearest accommodation, fuel stations etc here in Sydney, so I don't think that because it's an overseas model this should be causing the search issue.
If anyone has any ideas on what I need to do so my GPS search will work, I'll be very appreciative.
Thanks
Craig
P.S This mobile, the N82, is the best mobile I've had. It works extremely well and it's proccessers are very fast. My mobile hasn't even hung itself either. I'm very happy with this mobile and I would recommand it to anyone who is on the market for an all round mobile device.
I have had the Nokia N95, Sony Ericsson K850i and the LG Viewty. All good mobiles but this Nokia N82 out does them all. Photo and video quality is very good. This is a featured packed phone and the best you can get!
Just got this phone and it is very very good. Was not to keen on the design at first and the keypad, but after using it for a few days its great and very easy to use. Its better than the N95 because its so much quicker with everything it does. The camera and video are the best i have seen on any mobile phone. Sorry N95, SE K850i and LG Viewty owners but this is the best mobile phone.
