been using my n82 for a couple hours now. I switched from n95-3 for the xenon flash and smaller form factor. So far, everything is great! No regrets about switching, but if you are thinking about getting one, keep this in mind- the keypad is high quality and solid, BUT the keys are seriously so small! Granted, i have larger hands/fingers, but these are tiny! Also, the navigation key setup does not feel very solid and kind of worries me. Other than that, it's amazing! Oh yeah, i also got a gps lock while indoors in less than 10 seconds! (and thats from a cold start!) - my n95 always took over a minute! I posted this using the phone, so obviously text input is not that bad, but if you have any questions and think i might be able to help, post it up and i'll do my best.
Father of All,
I agree it would be nice to have those features. Nokia has bought the WiMax cards (WLAN n) unfortunately its no use when a region network infrastructure has not been setup. Hence, its not worth it in Europe or western world. WiMAX is most ly used in areas where GSM or 3G line of sight is inadequate.
Having a TV in the mobile is already available via the use of 3G. Check and google Telenor in Sweden or "TV i Mobil" we have had it for well over 6mths now and they are having an offer of 3mths free. We're not taling about YouTube or anything like that. Its cable and satellite TV like MTV etc...
Touch screen is so over-rated I have used windows PDA's and there are issues over time. it becomes inaccurate and can be more trouble that its worth. I do welcome the evolution but personally not for me.
All the other suggestions I would welcome this as an upgrade. We just have to wait and see what Nokia has in store as Evolution

I think that will be here in Greece one of the best mobile phones. The N95 have problems with maps but this model have good procesor and probably won't stuck any more. I'm waiting to wotk it and hope my network-Vodafone bring that!
No Point upgrading from a N95 to this
it would be more a Downgrade, besides the Xenon Flash
2.6 Inch screen
Memory up to 32GB microSD
2.4 Inch screen

Kenneth, So why did Ericsson sell its mobile division to Sony??? because it cannot compete with the other big boys in the mobile telephony market. And I live in Sweden the home of Ericsson. Can you please substantiate your findings with a glimmer of proof, instead stating something unconfirmed?? Why is it the Nokia hold the top world market share and yet SE holds I think 3rd or maybe 4th of the world market share. So which is the best phone again??? If you want stock market proof please respond and I will gladly supply the balance sheets.
The N82 is NOW available in Germany:
It's also available in The UK Online Nokia Store at www.nokia.co.uk
This phone truly looks like a SonyEricsson phone with all the features just like any other SE Phone. Too sad it doesn't beat SE's battery life. Just shows you SE is the best on planet earth now!
I'm not gonna tell you what to get like other people do but I'm gonna ask you a few questions to help you decide.
What would you use your fone for the most?
Business or pleasure?
Do like to take photos on a point and shoot with good quality?
would you like to browse the internet and read your emails.
Would you like to use GPS?
Would you like to expand your memory upto 32gb with the use of Micro SDHC?
Would like to use blutetooth stereo headfone not just headsets?
Would you like to open office documents that are attached to you emails?
Would like to browse the internet via wireless LAN?
Would you like to make free phonecalls with the use of SIP with services like "voipstunt.com"?
Would like to take pictures in the nightclub or in low light areas as a point and shoot camera?
Would like to expand the possibilities of your phone by installing applications?
Would like to have the possibilities to play N-Gage or graphic intensive games?
If you have answered "YES" to 5 or more of these questions look no further.
I have this phone for well over a month and I have used SE and this phone is well worth the money.
Goodluck with your decision!
can neone plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
tell me if u can install .sis apps on n82????!!
You all (haters) have no idea what nokia has provides us. There isn't any Company which can give lots of functions and tools. Very shame to those who don't like nokia. SE and W Series have never had a 5 MP Camera with Xenon Flash and also no (30 fps) video recording. So shut your mouth ok.
will reply your 3 questions:
1- its a candy bar.
2- it has a multi-finger touch based touch screen.
Is the Nokia N82 much bigger then the SE K850i, for what I read it is slightly and not really much of a difference.
can any1 please tell me if this phone is availible in any other colour??
