When it comes to slider set
i am using n85 for 2 weeks..
so many cool features,
amazing sound clarity
both through loudspeaker & earphone,
TV OUT/WIFI/FM TRANSMITTER is another cool factor included in this phone
and much more.......
if you are planning to buy a slider set
im highly recommending NOKIA N85
its beyond words
and you will feel it when u have it...
i wouldnt get an N96 either - loads of issues with software - ive got one on t-mobile and had loads of problems
N85 is a good phone - much better battery than N96 - my wife has N96 and that freezes regularly
ajko, 13 Feb 2009which is better, N95 8G or N85? pls pls I nid to know ur opinions.... I'm planning to buy a ne... moreBuy N96 better. i use one myself. my father use n85. he say lousy. OS always crash. N96 S60 3.2 more stable than N85 S60 3.2. Autofocus also faster. Video also better bcoz got video accelerator
i faced a big problem guys this is not acceptble, i changed the name of my memory card name after that in my N85 not shown the change name so i restart my N85 & after restarting my all messeges (inbox, my folder, sent) are deleted automatically, i shocked whats this wheres my msgs i find but i cant it completely ereased this is disgusting i never ever received this kind of problem in my last phones like (5610XM, W810, 6270, K750)
Things my SE K850i doesnt have that my N85 has: 'real player' so you can watch videos on youtube, etc. beautiful OLED, excellent gaming, fm transmitter, wifi, audio text mssg reader, QVGA(adjustable for email), 3.5mm headphone jack. BUT the N85 compared to my SE K850i, the N85 camera is very slow overall, pic editing options are limited, no track id, no smart dial, no flash lite with LED flash, no xenon flash, small internal memory, and the speakers are poor compared to SE. K850i is a better camera phone. N85 is still a great phone, both have excellent connectivity for AT&T users in the USA. HSDPA 3.5G
which is better, N95 8G or N85? pls pls I nid to know ur opinions.... I'm planning to buy a new cp. I'm having a hard tym choosing bet. dos 2. Display size and cam performance N95 got it. But Symbian OS v9.3 N85 has it and it's also more compact.
n85 is the best phone.....doent matter how expnsiv it is.....it has got everythin u need
After 3 months of using this phone im loving this phone more and more. NOKIA Rocks!!!
Anonymous is right about this.. i bought 2 N85 in December... 2 weeks apart.. 1st phone after 2 weeks i can't hear anything thru the earpiece.. sent for repair where it reached the highest level for repair & took 3 weeks... i sold it and bought another one thinking that i may have been unlucky in the 1st unit but now after using the new unit for a month the same problem resurfaced... i'm sending it again for repair but hopefully it won't take so much time... huhuhu..
"many of the N85 users must have faced this problem, after 1 month u cant hear anythng thru the earpiece of ur hand set while receiving / making a call, for hearing the sound u need to use either headset or loudspeaker.. its a hardware( earpiece) damage ...So be careful while choosing N85"
i love the SE fans getting involved on the nokia pages too
c905 is complete tosh, waste of time and money i need to say
N85 has the odd hitch re software but what i have heard its a case of restarting the phone once every few months. if thats what you have to do to have such a fast and responsive phone then so be it!! i tested n85 against many other phones and texts, calls etc are quickest button times. it also takes 10seconds to log on to sat nav ...beat that
reading the post below by AJS - i dont believe he actually has the phone! the slide is NOT loose - the double slide is pure genius for gameplaying, music etc rotating net
best of the best
difficult to get so excited over a phone but i love it
I'm having it for last 2 months and the phones is really good. The camera wows. Great works by nokia...
there are way too many bugs and delays in the software...the hardware is great...it's processor underclocked...x-plore tells me that it has 192mhz....why's that? the N81 works faster :| im a litle bit disaopinted
I have had n85 for over a minth now.
It a great phone.
My slide seems to be a little loose.
Is it kept a lil loose by NOKIA as a default or it gets loose by use.
The sound quality is average as compared to N73.
On the other hand best phone in the market.
But its expensive and slides do get loosen up a lil I

Top Gun, 08 Feb 2009Hey Emil!!!Can u tell me the month of manufacture of ur phone....And if u facing the same prob... moreHey dude, the bottom of the D-pad is firmly attached to the phone, so I haven't had any issues yet.
Anyway, on the box it says it is made on the 49th week of 2008, meaning something in the beginning of December.
Also, it is a N85-3 (the US version...)
Hope this helps!
