Ziad, 05 Nov 2008What is the price of the N85? Is the camera of the N85 better than the one in N95?in some reviews it is the best in the nseries camera
What is the price of the N85?
Is the camera of the N85 better than the one in N95?
Bought N96 when it first came out. Used it for 3 weeks, sold it and bought N85. Happiest person alive now.
1) N96 buttons are so difficult to press when making phone calls or SMS. N85 have much better feel to it. N96's buttons are too flat, always press wrong button.
2) N96 keypad is not flush with the side plastic panel. Pressing "*" or "#" faced some problems. Need to use finger tips. N85 is much better.
3) N96 has a cheaper feel to it. N85 feels better, not as plastic. N85 has a slightly heavier feel to it.
4) When the phone is closed, on the N96, where the answer, cancel, hang up, menu buttons are, they also add in the silly play, forward, rewind buttons. They already have when you slide it the other way. So not sure why they need it near the scroll buttons.
5) N85 has a FM transmitter.
6) N85 has 2 types of charger: charge from home outlet or from laptop. N96 has 2 types of charger: car and home outlet charger. I would like a car charger for N85 which I'm sure will come out eventually.
End of the day, I will go for N85 any day. N96 has only the TV function, which is useless in most places.
its very poor i m buy this phone on 27 october tuday is 4 nov and its lower speeker is not working only uper is working plz help
I guess the only missing thing it lacks and I'd love to have in it: FM Recording. My TV has FM Transmitting system...if my phone recorded FM I would record practically everything I Wished....sad
Andy Burgin, 05 Nov 2008The N85 looks a Greart mobile but people will have to decide who have the N95 8gb mobile is it... morein my opinion this is not intended for n95 users but consumers who are using mid tier phones.
i want to buy this phone for a different experience, a slider form factor being a fan of candybar ever since. the amoled is a bunos as well as fm transmiter and the fp2, i find the interface very attractive base on the youtube videos i watch.
im very excited on this phone hoping to buy it by january
I luv ds phon, i played wd it in nokia store downtown and its great. D slider s very solid, no woble and the scren s very gud 2 lok at, true color comes out of oled. D sound s gud, loud an dstnct, u can hear ur cal even n crowded places. I lyk it very much. 5thumbs up
The N85 looks a Greart mobile but people will have to decide who have the N95 8gb mobile is it worth upgrading to the N85,i had the N85 for a day an o.k the screen an the slide are alot better, but the speakers are not as loud an you do not really see much difference in the menus,so i decide to keep my N95 8gb instead as i am sure near the end of November to early December Nokia will announce there first 8 mega-pixel camera mobile as they want to show Samsung an Sony Ericsson they are still the leaders in mobiles,so you either get the N85 or wait an i am going to wait instead
If u care so much about the AMOLED screen den don't bother purchase it or think about buying it.. EASY
Anonymous, 05 Nov 2008everything the n96 has but cheaper w/fm transmitter, better talk time. A little heavier but slimmerI have this phoen now for one week. I do not recommend you to buy this. Package look cheap, as s;ide phone it kind of not build solid like N95. The push bottom are not as easy to use and back cover is also not build solid. It happen to also own N79 and INNOV8. They both much better than N85. I will wait for Nokia 5800 and then change N85 to Nokia 5800.

Can I download and put java or other symbian games or is it going to be locked because of the n-gage thing? I guess the answer it's surely yes but i really need to be sure..!
musicphone, 04 Nov 2008i've found the article about oled lifespan in one of the previous posts in womworld.com/nokia.... moreit's smart to read such articles but it's smarter to go deeper ... just calculate about what you read ... even if you use your phone with switched on screen 3h/day (watching movies) it represents 1100h/year so 13 years of lifespan ... what the aim of 60 000h ??? totally ridiculous, in our society if you keep your phone 3 or 4 years it will be a great performance ! not only because you will like to have new one but for example because your battery will be dead or just because your phone will have fall several times and will be dying, so just think a few minutes to what you read and you'll see that this spec is totally useless ...
Anonymous, 04 Nov 2008btw, its fujifilm that is adjacent to that mobile store in SM Manila... which is in front of t... moregreatc", copy that location..that means the price might stil dip down a bit by january..
