this smartphone is so good.only bad thin is that video stopping and stoping on high tv quality,than i must choose high video quality for e-mail and everything is good.

n85er, 18 Jul 2010I've had this phone for about nine months, until now I haven't had any serious problem as comm... moreI say its a good smartphone too..In fact its been a good little mobile its done everything i want..It has hung a few times like all computers and person below who said about crashing on first start up then having to remove battery,,you have to wait till its fully booted..Any problems do check software and themes are some of the biggest causes of crashing/hanging/slow down..I had a theme that looked like htc hero background and it was the cause of all sorts of slow downs and errors,,it happened to be over 2MB in size and just was not compatible at all..
This does sound boring but you do get the best performance with the pre-installed themes..
The n85 in closed slider style with lock off and headfones fitted it looks just like an mp3 player with ultra coloured screen but underneath its a powerfull series 60 smartphone with high class audio and superb camera optics and decent video recording..

rifat, 22 Jul 2010does this phone has builted in facebook , youtube and twitter?@rifat no, but you can install the applications of each site manually, which is pretty easy

Andy, 21 Jul 2010Hi all May i ask about the silver square at the front part below NOKIA wordings, the light in... moreas far as i remember you can disable it if you want to, and yes it would blink every certain time, i suggest you to turn it off, its useless otherwise its gonna be blinking in your pocket lol

argo kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk, 09 Jul 2010nokia n85 is better or bad ?? write your own experience. do not copy and paste from any web... moreI've had this phone for about nine months, until now I haven't had any serious problem as commented (freezing, switch off, etc.), It freezes sometimes when I change themes. but this is because these themes are not well made, so I just remove them and everything's ok again. My phone is a NAM-3. I think that everything depends on how we care of it, on what we install, etc....many people like to install any stuff and many of those things are corrupted and through time the phone spoils. I thinks it's a good phone....

Hey N85 owners. My keypad collects dirt all the time, its so irritating! And that loud noise it makes when you type......is there anything I can do about that? Also, eversince I upgraded my software, whenever I switch the phone on and use it straight away, the phone freezes!(then I have to remove the batery). So I have to wait a minute for my phone to "load". Is anyone else having this problem? The front part of my phone has developed a thin scratch, and I like never dropped it before! I CANT wait for my contract to end so I can get the N8!

it's a nice phone.i use it when i drive my car with fm transmiter.i don't need cd's cassets anymore.the only prb i feel with it the battery timing with using internet.besides this this is a perfect phone.

All u can say about this phone is that:it costs.the powerfull cpu let u to run n-gage,using gps,listening to music in at the same time without any problem.and dont worry about the battery life.but the ergonomy is weak.the noisful,hard,flat keypad sucks.and i even experienced data loss many of times.esp for mp3s.

Not Bad.. Very similar to N95...
But Keypad is not user friendly like N95...
This is a very Handy Phone :-)

DOZA, 07 Jul 2010I'm thinking of buying the nokia n85, I'm having difficulties with my mind because I read some... moreI've handled it and I have to say spend your money on something else. Nokia must have made 20000000 of them because I was in the Chicago flagship store a month ago and they are still selling it. Mind you its a 2 year old phone. The keypad is a flat membrane style and offers no discernible feeling between key presses. The screen, while AMOLED is "meh" at best. The whole feeling of the phone is cheap. If you are dying for a Nokia slider with a decent camera go for the n86. The thing is built like a freaking tank. Or if you can find it try to get a N82. Best camera on a Nokia HANDS DOWN.
