Hey guys, I've been wondering, should I buy the N85 now, or should I just wait for the N97 or N86?
I don't care whether the N97 is focused on touchscreens, or the N86 on imaging or the N85 for style. I just want a phone with Symbian's S60 OS, and reasonable battery life. What do you think?
I have N82 & N95 8GB for over a year and a 2-month old N85 and I had never encountered a problem for these 3 phones. Maybe it depends on how you handle your phones. I used the speaker and headphones of N85 last night for the first time (I usually used my iPod for music) and the sound was really good! I don't know why some people complain about the volume output?!
Anonymous, 04 Apr 2009hi every body...is this phone open pdf files or no?yes there is no such a problem to open a pdf file.
How Can I Record a Conversion in N85.
I mean During a Call I can Do the Record.
having a problem hearing when a call comes in. i have tried to adjust volume but it is not moving. what should i do?
guys i also wanted to know if there is a way to understand if n85 its latest producted by nokia, so its updated i believe
Crocsi, 03 Apr 2009Far superior is too much. N95 has 2core processor and 3D graphic chip. N85 has the ARM11 369... moren85 does not need dual processor and 3D graphics processor as it uses OLED display! the refresh rate of this display is so high that it does not demand extra processing power or graphic processor. ah! the advantages of having an OLED...
thank you guys i will check about what you said the only problem is that i will get it from a vodafone store because i have to update my contract.do vodafone mobiles have a different software?i took from them two months ago 6210 navigator and its very reliable it hasnt crashed even one time.but my friend took from vodafone last week n85 and he sent it to service the second day because of restarting all the time.i will also check n 958g and last lg arena although i like more n85 but i dont want to have problems.this week i will decide.cu
Look people, anyone who has a problem with the n85 is his problem. I had this mobile for 8 months and it's better than all nokia phones, even from n96(apart from the storage). If u wanna buy it, get it from a Nokia Store and it won't hve any problems. Also, check if it's made in china or finland. PEACE!!
N85 is a good phone. But build quality is very bad. FP2 and menu transition on this phone are nice but software is very unstable and crashes too often. It is a good phone but it is not better than N82 or N95 8GB.
i am about to buy this phone but i read about many problems with the software, about restarting during video player,n-gage.does anybody know if i should check something before i buy it?thanks for your time.
What a sweet device, looks like Nokia may give me this N85 if they cant sort out my N81, it will be the perfect replacement for it. :) can anyone comment on batt life? And if it cn play high res vids at 30fps well? Thanx.
This mobile has got many problems like you wont be able to play songs after a software crash and many more..
Can anyone has faced such a problen?
If yes!then have you found a solution of this

N85 has the ARM11 369... moreyes but the n95 is slower than the n85 the n95 freezes and crashes because of old symbian feature pack n85 has feature pack 2
think twice my one is fast as i used to hate symbian but now i love because of the quality of this one n85.
I have this phone. The front panel (right under the display) has been getting looser from the first day I had it, than it broke and fell. I've had the phone for two months and the battery is jumping around in the phone. When I talk in the phone the other part only hear drums from the battery. I've turned it in TWICE, for repairing. I love Nokia, REALLY smart phones. But lately they seem to use really really BAD material. This is just bad, for us customers. I'm really upset. I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy this phone. I'd rather say buy one of Samsung's Symbian phones. At least, you know you'll get quality material that wont break.
