Im using this phone almost 2 month.Sorry to say, always hang, data corrupt, keep repeating reading sim/memory card problem, saving data trouble n many more. Its true my dear.I agree its a cute n lite with major function. But software problem make me feel realy regret having this model.Come n feel my experience.I alow u to test my phone n 'enjoy my journey with n85'...Plz,any suggestion to solve this problem are welcome.
How does this keypad compare to the N79's keypad? My N76 just died and I tried to get an N85, but when Dell ran out, we worked out a good price on the replacement for the N79. But this keypad is horrible.
The best keypad I ever had was on my 6170. The N76's keypad wasn't bad though. Can anyone tell me if I should get this N85 or should I get another phone if I text a lot w/ T9 (don't want QWERTY)

I'm torn between getting a N95 or N85. Can anyone help me point out the pros/cons or give me insightful opinions? Thanks.
I find this phone pretty neat, only problem i find is the build quality, heard of some people with wobbly sliders and battery covers.
My sliders are perfect, but my battery cover behind can wobble with a small touch, irritating, with creaky sounds. If i send it for repairs, will they replace the cover? Or give a new phone? Because i would rather have a wobbly cover then slider.

brilliant appsplications
Also love the way its speaks your text for you and audio themes announces mosts things you do like speaking OPEN when you slide up fone and CLOSED wen slod down or you can have jingles..I am glad to be back with nokia as the press and hold right soft key activates voice synthesizer where you speak your command and it does it i.e. bluetooth and bluetooth switches on
n85 will be top of rankings here v soon
this will be the must have phone for every1
its ggggreat

no_key.....yeah???, 16 Mar 2009hello is this phone? a touch screen or touch sensitive buttons? or are they regular pushab... moreNo its not touchscreen,,i hate touchscreen and am selling xperia online for £220..The only decent touchscreen was p900i.All the rest ive tried like p990i,,samsung f700,,htc touch and so on do not agree with me personnally i am a button person but do not mind the odd bit of touch like the bad s/e k850i..So i will not be getting n97 or 5800 but have just sold the very excellant samsung innov8 which is top in every area, however, its like n95/n958gb and it cuts into my palm all the time whilst texting one handed and its not nokia so a lot of the usual appps that are nokia only are not licenced for innov8 but it is a nearly 10/10 fone..I myself are waiting for the clamshell to make an appearence again and looking thru gsm forums,,so are others..
no_key.....yeah???, 16 Mar 2009hello is this phone? a touch screen or touch sensitive buttons? or are they regular pushab... moreThe 2 soft keys and the symbian menu button and c button only light up as keypad lights up,,they are normal press buttons even tho they look touch sensitive..The slider is fine to me but the bits were you use the 4 buttons i mentioned above feel a little creaky..its because the whole plate is flush with screen in one piece and the only bits jutting out is d-pad,,call/end and multimedia button..
hello
is this phone? a touch screen or touch sensitive buttons? or are they regular pushable buttons? and i currently have an e66 but after 2 weeks the top part started to get very loose and wiggly, i was hoping this one may have a sturdy slider, please someone let me know soon.
thanks.

JEYARAJ-PONDICHERRY, 14 Mar 2009I happened to buy a N85-8GB in the month of November 2008, after a week i experienced hanging ... moreI forgot your name but my 2 posts below are for you to read and help you,,i called you the crusade person,,sorry...brynn
That link i promised

n85 User, 14 Mar 2009Guys..
i need your help
do you know how to delete 'themes'
which i've installed in memory c... moreThis has been a common problem since long back about invisible themes...First go to file manager,,i cannot tell you where it is on your fone cause i have totally re-organised my n85 folders and icons to my liking..Open file manager and look at fone or memory card whichever you stored your themes too..The themes could be under installed files or downloads or even another folder..Check you definetly want to delete it and delete or remove whichever is the option..
If that fails you can install free y-browser at drjukka.com or google search for it as the latest y-browser has just come out and will be bang up to date..Search c-drive first and get to know how the browser and options work before deleting anything..ITS not a browser like a web browser but a search or your entire n85 so be carefull not to just delete or change or alter anything what you do not understand..
@ cinnamon IF you have done a recent back up to memory card when all your equalisers are their it will in my case store the settings, HOWEVER back up regularly and remove memory card if your doing a software update or a hard or soft reset cause you will lose the lot??????
To person on crusade,,their are lots of unsatisfied nokia,,s/e ,,samsung,,lg customers etc but can i point you to n958gb forums at nokia .com...You can read posts but to put a post up you have to join,,i think you will see hundreds of problems,,some solved some not as yet but you have got to go to nokia itself Not the service centers..As you start reading all the opinions it becomes apparent that nokia sublets these centers and they dont seem to report things to nokia itself or be that bothered about customers..This is not true for all nokia service centres but you need to get some help and back up from nokia.com forums,,its open house and nokia do not censor the site..Remember to report your experiance to nokia direct NOT the service center..If you read this i will be back in 5 minutes with a direct link to nokia site forums for the likes of you and your problem..good luck..
i am content with my n85 but have a question, if i do a back up to memory card will it save my equaliser settings?
I absolutely love my new Nokia N85.....Only one small little disappointment..Where are the little icon pics when u send a text...(HAPPY,SAD...etc.....I can't even find any smiley faces??????? Oh the camera is very good in daylight...Ok at night...But you just can't beat a Sony Ericcson for the camera.......
