Hi guys, I want to buy this phone, but I have some questions regarding it's camera :
1. I've downloaded some sample from letsgomobile.org, what I see is the image looks like an oil painting and some artifacts is present. Is the camera after v.20 still like this?
2. I downloaded a N86 photo from flickr, and the size is 3 MB. I think it's impossible. But the exif say it's taken by N86. Is it possible guys? Btw the picture is about a home with some trees in the side.
3. How the image quality at night indoor / outdoor? Thanks before to u all! May the God bless u! Cheers... =D
i am using n86 at present its a good phone but still i love my old n79 because easy to use,no prop if we use it roughtly.........so i advice all to buy n79 than n86

Anonymous, 01 Jan 19701 thing i'am not is a N86 FANBOY!!, the N86 is a truly great phone an i must say the best Nokia smartphone i have owned, saying that you need two hands to slide the the phone is wrong!, the only flaws i see that the N86 has is the poor readability with its AMOLED screen under direct sunlight, an also the speakers could have been a tad louder but other than that its great.
I agree, im a user of both SE phone and nokia n86... All Phones in the market has flaws... even if they released an all in one phone no matter what brand, it shall be criticized by its short comings... Its not longer an issue, its an accepted fact... people have different tastes and needs in a phone, thus sometimes if they think a phone is perfect they shall consider it so. My n86 is a great phone and im aware of its flaws. for me its still perfect AND CATER TO MY NEEDS... :)
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970oh deary...another fanboy. thank god im only just an N86 user and not an N86 fanatics who can still criticize a handset of it's flaws.
im only stating facts based on experience and observation. cant you just take it as it is? Of course you can't....you're a fanboy.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Laugh all you can at least I'm telling the truth. Not like you who just swallow every fault that this phone has.
The only thing i hate about the N86 is that when you want to put a wallpaper on the screen the lower and upper bar remains above the wallpaper and it covers the lower and upper parts of the wallpaper. This thing is really bad and i HATE IT!!!All that you said about lens getting scratched with the lens cover is @$#$Cra-p.The lens is Carl Zeiss man!!! This kind of lens were and are used for Sniper lens around the world for about 100 years and are the best. The battery plastic cover is really good and it fits very well. The shutter sound is acceptable,i`ve seen much more SE phones whit really bad shutter sounds,OLED dosplay is beautifull and the slide is maybe the best slide a nokia has.Sound quality is pretty good compared to #$$#%#c%rap w995 which is very bad slide and battery is dead after a day.The Nokia N86 is really good but the bad thing is that out there are a lot of people who doesn`t know how to use a symbian smartphone.Learn people and then comment.SE-c%rap phone.Nokia is the Best. And i see that a lot of SE fans are here on Nokia forum to see the beautiful N86.Why are they here if they`re SE are good phone?I tell you!Becouse THEY WANT A NOKIA SMARTPHONE!!! :))))
and if you still happen to own an N82...keep it until Nokia come up with a camphone that has xenon flash
Thing that I don't like 'bout the N86
Hate the batt cover. Feels like your taking off a lid of a plastic container.
Glass on the cam easily get scratched by that dreadful cam cover. It does leaves a mark.
Sliding off the cam cover doesn't always activate the cam.
It has the most awful shutter sound that I've ever heard. I'm putting it in silent mode first before taking a pic.
Oled display isn't the best that I've seen. Samsung does whole lot better
Sliding down the phone is just too f@#$ng irritating that you have to do it with two hands.
Sound thru speaker maybe loud but lacks quality.
And do I regret getting the N86???
A big YES!
June, 11 Dec 2009I don't like how this phone looks, but the inner features is what matters. I want to buy eithe... moreThe n97 could only be better than n86 in two features, querty keyboard n 32 gb internal memory.bigger screen but not omled, bad camera performance compared to other 5mp camera.n86 has perfect 8mp better gaming and above all physical keys no more mistakes inputing orders.N97 is more sensitive to damage i wouldn't imagine f u drop that phone!.btw i am using the 8gb internal memory and have 2.9 gb i have every thing onboard full movies hundreds of apps and games music n even ngage games. What else cud i need 8gb r more than enough.even if ur more data the n86 can have extra 8gb or 16gb, u can use the phone as flash memory! Overall i think the N86 is much more practical than N97.btw i dont like the original n97 headsets, n86 ones r a lot better.
