n82 user, 04 Sep 2009Dear Josh,
My concern with n86 is not that the LEDs are not bright enough, that is OK. My c... morethis is not the result of the flash it is the firmware problem, and that n86 would have been a prototype as well (not the reall vertion that will hit the shelves)
dear n86 user.... i have n82 for a year,,and i love it,,now i want to buy a new phone to replace my old n82...
I also have n79...but it's nitemare...very2 slow..and even slower than n73...although has 369mhz cpu...n82 much2 faster...
how about n86? i've seen the cpu is 434mhz seems like overclock of same arm11 in n79 (but no 3d gpu like n82)...is it fast (compared to n82)...i need a new nseries at least as fast as n82...(speedier also gr8 :p)...please help me...is it worth upgrade??...is the gallery speedier? n79 very2 slow to zoom the pics...is it comes with in-ear headset like se? or maybe there's another option? i also attracted to innov8 but it's too expensive,,,(btw it has the same cpu as n82 means speedier?? rite?)
thank you very much....please reply me....
Mostly touch screens given push by nokia. We don't all need touch screens. Nokia please make an n86 QWERTY . Blackberrys are famous for a reason but if this phone specs were put on a blackberry form/body ... it would sell really well.
my e71 is good but the small screen is so boring.
Camera is very gd in broad day light but at night it's not clear at all. Sometimes it just freezes and doesnt even restart, u have to take out the battery. It's already starting to lag even though i barely have anythg on it and it's 2 months old. Battery length is pretty good and recharges quickly.
josh, 03 Sep 2009by the way this is 100% true, but why cant other people axcept that is dosnt need this xenon f... moreDear Josh,
My concern with n86 is not that the LEDs are not bright enough, that is OK. My concern is that the pictures turn out greenish. I check out the flash shots on digitalversus.com and the xenon flash gives better colour. Maybe this can be fixed in the next firmware?
check this out guys..... http://www.digitalversus.com/duels.php?ty=1&ma1=34&mo1=823&p1=5988&ma2=31&mo2=562&p2=3538&ph=1

I'll be getting myself the import version of the i8910 hd in like a week....i'll let u guys know the real the rumors....peace
Anonymous, 02 Sep 2009if HSUPA is not used for uploading then what protocol is used ? Thnxi dun said that hsupa is not used for uploading, but i said it makes ur uploading faster..without hsupa u still can upload using standard gprs.
n86 = good in low light shots and dayshots
n82 = good in macro shots and pitch black night shots
so there you have it..for you to decide which one to buy.
josh, 03 Sep 2009by the way this is 100% true, but why cant other people axcept that is dosnt need this xenon f... morebecause even standalone cameras with higher megapixel, better optics than n86 have xenon flash. i haven't seen any dslr that has a led flash instead of a xenon.

xyz, 31 Aug 2009Man,
Are you mad or something. You guys are comparing 5mpix with 8mpix.....Any one can say...... moresorry to diapoint you, but that is not true!!!!! its the varible apreture that wins in camera performents, not mega pexels, pegapexles on matter when you blow up the image.......
thats why the nokia n86 is brighter in low light shots not because of the pixels but because of the varible apreture.....
to people who are thinking of upgrading from n82 to n86:
*GREAT value! i bought it for $AU 570 brand new. to compare, i paid $AU 500 for my n82 when it was a YEAR old.
*n86 actually looks really good in real life. feels compact and there is no real weight issue
*oled screen is beautiful
*fm transmitter is suprisingly great quality. works anywhere in my car and sounds perfect
*PROPER zoom. can zoom in 4x without losing detail
*camera takes about less than half the time to focus (did they annoy anyone else with n82??)
*variable aperture lets u take phots of scenary at night and works pretty well
*internet is twice as fast
*no xenon. as great as the camera is , xenon is missed. taking photos in low light conditions causes images to blur
CONCLUSION: the n86 is a great PHONE. in saying that it makes daily life more enjoyable (FM transmitter, more music on 16gb card, faster internet). I know ppl diss the camera because of its non-xenon but it is definately a worthy upgrade from n82. xenon would have made this phone absolutely perfect.
hope that helps everybody
