N86 User!, 26 Jun 2009My phone is on its way by UPS, from Nokia Direct... i'll get it today. OOOO YESSSS!!! Hooah!... morecongrats for having your new n86 8gb...just don't 4get to share us the performance of your new n86 8gb and how much its cost..thanks a lot in advance.
Nokia really showed to the Public they could release Top Class mobiles with the N95 an N95 8gb,but since the release of these two mobiles, they have shown no image to the public that they are still the Best, the N96 might have looked o.k but did not attract many people to buy it,the N85 with a very wobbly slide just after a weeks,an now with my ewperience with the N86 they have turned me down alot,an just shows they are more bothered about producing mid-range mobiles with the 6300 an others,i think this year uptil now Samsung are showing Nokia that the are the Best top class mobile,i bet somethings got to be done at Nokia to change there strategy

Anonymous, 26 Jun 2009image quality sucks, innov8 give a better picturethe review at allaboutsymbian dot com convince me to buy this phone instead of N97. the images taken were amazing c", even the review here in GSMArena shows amazing images from N86, from a photo enthusiasts point of view..
a year + late and full of bragadorious specs wit no delivery.sorry nokia.
After this phone was released, all comments turned to negative. What happened to those wide angle lenses and variable apertures that were being bragged before... an overstatement to this phone that did not perform as expected.
Finally had enough with the N86,i was awaiting a Top Class mobile from Nokia but to me,the Quality is Below Par as my N95 8gb is Still the Best Nokia mobile Produced,so will now wait until a much better mobile will be released by Nokia,i had 3 N86s in 5 Days an All gone Faulty so not getting no upgrade on a mobile thats Useless to Use

I was a fan of this phone before the review, but the image quality sucks... Plus, no car charger and video connectivity cable? Thanks Nokia, but I'll wait for your next 8 or 12 MP phone...

That pic shows how good the optics are in reality. Everything else can be fixed by firmware updates, which will make it possible for N86 to surpass Innov8, since N86's only weakness is software, not the optics, which ARE superior to the one found in Innov8.
n86 8mp is AMOLED screen... ... who knows next might out 8mp with TFT screen.
well personally, i think that its not the thing about whether the phone or gadget was made in china or not because as compared to the apple ipods and iphones which were also made their has a good quality. what you guys should be more aware of is from whom have you bought the phone/gadget. here in the philippines, we are encoutering a lot of people all across who are saying they have this nokia warranty, and yes, its true they do have the warranty but im thinking that why is it still faulty. though they have the warranty, normally weeks or months after youll see the difference. so what i decided to do is just to buy from original nokia centres also, from good mobile companies that it has a team up with.
nokia is a good phone. ive been thru samsung, sony ericsson, motorola, iphone and even blackberry but i can say nothing beats nokia for me. its just simple, the way they meet my necessities are just one of the most important factors.
but on the issue of nokia going back to finland's hands, i dont see any problem with that. for as long as it would be for the betterment of the consumers, why not?
samsung, sony ericsson, motorola, iphone and blackberry are also good phones but then nokia would really have a spot for me. i am a very meticulous person when it comes to taking good care of my gadgets especially phone. so its not on the part of the user but as i see it, the life span of the phone is based on the users' usage as well as to how the manufacturers have come up with the phone.
Based on the camera test conducted by GSMArena, it seems that Samsung INNOV8 gives better image results than N86 8MP. Go check page 7 of the review.
