Too bad i haven't received any notification update yet until today.
the phone is good but sometimes a bit laggy...
Got one question to those who use N9
When i updated my phone to PR1.1, i lost some of the apps that i downloaded.....thus i had to download it again...
Now i had downloaded even more apps, including paid apps. so am worried tat if i update it to PR1.2, then i will lose it all and will have to download it again...
does this backing_up of phone before updating include backing up of downloaded apps???
There is a mistake: N9 has got FM radio, but software must be downloaded, hardware ison the board. Silly, but mistake. :)
Zoe Wu, 26 Feb 2012if you were an 11 year old girl, what color of n9 would you choose? You should go to school. Leave smartphones for later.
It is my opinion!

Should I buy N9 or 701? I'm still using 5800, built like a tank, but looking old now.
mig33, 26 Feb 2012SONY is far better in terms of performance brother. Android has got lots of apps which you don... moreWhat you just said aren't facts, but personal opinions. People buy phones because of their own unique or personal preferences.
I chose Nokia. Phones are meant to be phones, and mine (Belle OS) does a pretty good job as well. It's very simple to use, plus it has email, excellent satnav, and many more that I don't even use on an hourly or even daily basis. So what's the point? Go figure.
mig33, 26 Feb 2012SONY is far better in terms of performance brother. Android has got lots of apps which you don... more1) This is N9 thread, Meego, not Symbian
2) Nokia phones have WIFI hotspot too, both my N9 & E6 has it. Dunno how old was the Nokia model you used
Nokia has its merits, Sony has theirs.Sony is my fav Android phone, slick & nice. But if I want a non Android, it's good ol Nokia
Nokia N9 can play role of hotspot acces point. N9 has receive/transciver FM so can play FM radios and can communicate with eg car audio via FM to play music. N9 has built in compass so all navigations are autoamaticaly coordinated with retation to position to Noth South ast West etc.
mig33, 26 Feb 2012SONY is far better in terms of performance brother. Android has got lots of apps which you don... morei think you have not used early sony phones. sony is here because of Nokia bcoz in early days it was nokia who helped sony in developing phones, if you dnt blv me then get some old phone, switch it on, and you will find a line " powered by symbian". so respect Nokia.
Sony ericsson phones are also good. I like the arc, ray & neo. Each of their phones has unique design. Performance is very good but they need to compete with other android phones out there. Perhaps they failed in terms of popularity...By the way, nokia has many fans but it doesn't mean its on the top because of polpularity. I think nokia has its own way of making smartphones not just competing with specs. I think they consider user-friendliness, usability, power economy, type of consumers, and durability. that's why you could see more old nokia phones than any other brands which people are using in their everyday activities, at least here in Asia & Africa.
