ELVIS, 30 Jan 2012why can you not use whatsup on the n9I think because the developer did not know how will N9 sell, but now given that N9 sold better than lumia phones, the developer might rethink!

This was a phone known internally at Nokia as N9-00 - this is not the same as the N9 that now sells, which had an internal name of N9-01. This N9-00 was supposed to the shown to the public at the Nokia event this time last year - and sold in Q1. The new Nokia CEO Stephen Elop cancelled the phone's launch as one of his first acts - the Nokia MeeGo project manager resigned in protest. Then a few months later Elop killed the phone totally at the start of this year, just days before the new Microsoft alliance was announced - and the new MeeGo project manager resigned in protest. Since the N9 and MeeGo were finally seen, many have felt Elop had killed a very potent phone, a possible 'iPhone-killer' that definitely would have generated significant profits to a Nokia that now sorely needs every penny; and obviously had Nokia had a MeeGo phone to sell in Q1, then that phone would have been immune to any Nokia reseller boycott hitting Symbian based phones, even after the 'Elop Effect' destroyed Nokia Symbian smartphone sales after February. The first MeeGo phone was ready to manufacture and sell in Q1, but was simply cancelled by the CEO, so we will never know how viable it might have been but judging by how strongly Nokia profits jumped in Q4 with the far less spectacular N8 running the Symbian S^3 (far less amazing than MeeGo) and how much the industry fell in love with the N9, that phone would definitely have sold at least in 'meaningful' numbers. Strange are the ways of the minds of the visionary CEOs haha..

[deleted post]To be honest I agree with you that the gab between symbian and android now is very big But If nokia will continue with Meego and I know that is impossible... in this case the android CEO itself will have a nokia Device runing Meego and he will log in with us in this page and believe me N9 really comes(ONCE IN A LIFE TIME)...Think again

you get a "full" linux kernel.

Its hard for others to get it as they only have a
                                  butchered kernel.
try to run osx on a phone -lol

guys when do you say about any phone this awesome phone you said this about its specifications like (ram-cpu-3g-camera)or about its apps -widgets -themes-and the soft-i think if you say about the specifications this only on paper but your usage to the phone what make it awesome not only the specifications - to persuade u try to compare any phone dual core and a mobile single core u find there is no big differences in the speed and sometimes u buy a mobile dual core but when u use it its speed cannt show it so my advice is to use a mobile has all specifications you need even it single core
