AnonD-252, 15 Nov 2011The only app that is "live" in the list of open apps on N9 is the compass! Having ev... moreAlready told you in the news thread, N9 also plays video in the background without it pausing, with Open Video Player.
The same can also be said of Samsung fans who think Samsung is the greatest brand and others suck. Aiyooo, you like S2, go play with your S2, what for you want to argue with N9 owners like N9 is the most important competitor to Samsung, lol.
Samsung fans like to do that all the time, in Iphone & Nokia threads. I dont bother with S2 or Samsung threads, you are the one who repeatedly come & disturb.

Lol, the funniest thing is you keep telling S2 owners who also own N9(& some also the N900), S2 battery life as good. They dont experience it so,they have the S2. How you know as good or not when you dont actually use the N9 in real life, when they use both(there are quite a number in the other forums)

Meanwhile, we are more concerned with the PR 1.1 update.

AnonD-12237, 15 Nov 2011Sorry, not impressed. n9 is better. I know that fans think Nokia is better than any other phone from any other company, but Androids are not as bad as you Nokia-fans think and always write many comments about! Fact is that Android is just as good, if not far better than MeeGo, and S2 batterylife is almost identical to N9 and 4S, and with the official 2000 mAh Samsung battery made for S2 the batterylife is even better! But S2 is a lot more fun to use than any other phone, and streaming Flash 11 movies consume a lot of battery, but Flash can be turned of or used only on demand and browsers on Android can easily use html5...!
I often watch CNN and FoxNews as live flash streaming and I can listen to the streaming TV-news when editing documents... and return to watching the streaming TV whenever something interesting come on the news!

Having every open webpage show as an open app in the list of open apps only makes the list too long!
On S2 streamed movies do not have to be paused when open in the background, so I can listen to the sounds from the movie when I edit a docomunt or... and can return to the constantly playing movie when I hear that it starts to become interesting again!

Suhanoo, 15 Nov 2011I was reading your comment & was accepting all. But wait a sec! "S2 actually have one... moreS2 have almost exactly the same batterylife as N9!
If only used for phonecalls and sms and e-mails then s2 have just as long batterylife as any old Nokia, and it definetly have very much better batterylife than my old N97 mini!

"S2 actually have one of the best batterylifes of all smartphones!"??? FYI, I use an S2 & it is one of the CRAPPIEST battery of all the phones I used. You want to compare it's battery life, compare it to my 2 years old E72, still got the kick inside with 5 days standby after a couple of hours talk daily. Don't bullshit about the battery. Except for that, S2 is a very good mini-PC, but a DUMB phone. If you want to know why I call it a DUMB phone, go to N8's thread, read my comments on SGS2. You'll find it yourself.
Keep N8-ing

Right now I am writing this message/comment ... moredon't really care about what you are doing, but, ICS does NOT show open apps like N9: apps are live in N9, if a page is loading, it shows, if a music is playing, it shows it!! S2 will be doing something symbian like, showing old dated screen shots of what you had been doing, and not actually work on them at the moment!!
even if you close the maps they will stop working!!!

N9 is good, but S2 is better and less expensive!
Right now I am writing this message/comment using Opera Mobile and at the same time I now am listening to the sounds from a movie that I am streaming, Adobe Flash, playing in the background using Miren Browser on the webpage justin.tv and I am also listening to pop-radio streaming from Grooveshark in my Dolphin browser mini and the sounds from the pop-radio and the movie are mixed and both playing at the same time in the background and I have 28 other apps and games open in the background, with no lag at all!
With Ice Cream Sandwich S2 will show apps open in the background similar to how they are showed on N9, and with Swipe-gesture to close any app!

When you longpress the home-key on S2 you can see the recent 6 used apps/games but if you press the "task-manager button" below these recent 6 apps then you see all apps/games that are open in the background! I now have 30 apps and games open in the background plus writing this comment using Opera-mobile, and there is no lag at all!
GSMArena recently made a camera test " 8 megapixel mega shootout" on the GSMArena homepage now read it, that prove that S2 have a better camera than both N9 and Arc, only 4S have a better camera. S2 actually have one of the best batterylifes of all smartphones! And with Ice Cream Sandwich S2 camera and batterylife will be even better!

Its 1... morei tried updating through nokia software updater, and it couldn't detect and update for my device. perhaps only unlocked phones can get it in australia atm. i am not game to try updating via navifirm (and flash the device) so am happy to wait... hopefully it will be out before the end of the year.

my main issue is with mail - sometimes it stops syncing and doesn't update, and i have to re-create my account. also have some issues sending mail...
