AnonD-4340, 05 Nov 2011Coz samsung isnt good enough to stand up on its own, lies and deceptions are required to make ... moreGod, you are misinforming everyone.

the displays are blue! Everything is blue! Its so terrible to use.
->You clearly have no idea of (AM)OLED :) Spreading unscientific myths and propaganda.

SGS and SGS2 all have defective displays.
->what? super amoled(plus) is more advanced technology that consumes better contrast, less power, better viewing angle and solves disadvantages of original OLED. What the hell are you talking about?

SGS2 would be a great fone if it had SLCD similar to the ones used by HTC, those are almost as good as the ones with Sony Bravia tech.

->This is the best part. S-LCD is the joint venture of Samsung & Sony in Korea.(recently divided)

You Get it? Samsung % Sony. Samsung's Super Clear LCD which is constantly used for low-end handsets is essentially identical to Sony's S-LCD(i bet it is S-PVA). There is no such Sony Bravia tech. It exists only in your dream. So S-LCD is basically Samsung's property as well.

There is reasons whay more and more companies switching to AMOLED instead of LCD(except your beloved HTC) and that's including Nokia N9.

Remember. Samsung owns the OLED market(95% share) and never sell their best displays to other companies. Apple got supplied from LG. Samsung never sell Super Amoled Plus, which is far the best display available on the market.

and Samsung is only company using the best display(except LG) on their phones. Period.

AnonD-26818, 05 Nov 2011Okay you got me :D i tried to tint N9 reputation Samsung Army uses all the sneaky waysCoz samsung isnt good enough to stand up on its own, lies and deceptions are required to make ppl buy them?? =)

samsung is ok fones, but i cant understand the hype of SGS and SGS2, what is goo about them? the displays are blue! Everything is blue! Its so terrible to use, on other brands the white is white, why not also on Samsung with AMOLED? Samsung fans have to admit that SGS and SGS2 all have defective displays. In addition to the blue SGS2 has a yellow tint on one side. Double defective.

SGS2 would be a great fone if it had SLCD similar to the ones used by HTC, those are almost as good as the ones with Sony Bravia tech.

Anonymous, 05 Nov 2011damn, this available in the philippines free at unlimited data plan 2000 (about usd45 monthly)... morePlan 2000? I heard the 16GB version is free at Plan 3500.. But myabe u r right =) Anyway i wouldnt buy a N9 if is not openline, so its of no personal interest to me.

Why would u want a 800? Dont you know there are good reasons why HTC, Samsung, SonyEricsson failed with their windows fones? Its restricted and unreliable and sensitive. Windows Mobile used to b big in the states, in one quarter in 2009 it fell more than any other OS has ever did before, it was a total collapse. Its really a bad OS, stay clear. Talk to some ppl who bought HTCs with WP7, they regret, and so will you.

AnonD-13986, 05 Nov 2011In South East Asia, N9 is sold unlocked & also with contract. That was the case with Msia ... moreNO its not yet sold openly in Phil, only from Smart Communications (Philipines' biggest cell network provider), maybe after new year can buy openlined units, expect it in the stores in january. Same in some other countries, as i mentioned norway. Its sold openly and with contracts in Swede, nearest neighbor, but not in norway eh? So wat applies to malaysia does not apply to philipines this time around. Next year i guess the exclusivity will be lifted.

Theres always a cahnce someone wil import openline N9's and sel in philipines but thats a grey market, many fake fones and no warranty, stay clear, ask trusted friends bring N9 from abroad if cannot wait till next year.

And beware of fake! If its dual sim or removable battery its fake. Another sign of fake is they use regular size sim while the real N9 uses micro-SIM.

In Malaysia, most people buy phones unlocked, the N9 64GB, 16GB cyan & Magenta sold unlocked, no contract cos it's more popular.

Shanmithi, 05 Nov 2011Plz guyz tell me... What's up with this new tech of 'Dolby Sound System' introduced with Nokia... moreIt means good stereo sound system, when you listen with headphones. N9's speaker is just ok but if use stereo headphones/speaker, great sound. You can test it out at the shop if your country is selling N9.
A free app for music equaliser is available in Ovi Store, plus a few others.
